5.0 out of 5 stars A Must For Budding Romance Writers

About five or six years ago I took an online fiction course or two from Leigh Michaels. This book was one that was used in the course. Later I got away from fiction and gave my books away. Now, I'm back to writing fiction and purchased this book again so that I could rebuild my library. I just finished reading it again, and I recall why I thought this was one of the best books on the topic.

Building characters is one of the most difficult for me to do although I also understand how important it is to a story. Leigh is adept at explaining how to write characterizations by using real-life romance books, teaser questions that make us think about the characters we are creating, and provides a valuable characterization worksheet.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in fiction writing or creating better characters if that is a weak area in your writing.
