"The Housemaid is Watching" is a captivating read that kept me hooked from start to finish. The novel intricately explores the complexities and challenges of raising children, weaving in twists and turns that add depth and suspense to the narrative.
One of the standout aspects of this book is its portrayal of the delicate dynamics within a household. The story delves into the nuanced relationships between parents, children, and caregivers, highlighting how communication—or the lack thereof—can significantly impact family life. The author masterfully demonstrates how keen observation and subtle interventions can help manage and guide the behavior of children.
The plot is full of unexpected twists that keep readers on their toes. Just when you think you have everything figured out, another layer of complexity is unveiled, making it difficult to put the book down. The suspense is well-maintained throughout, and each revelation adds to the rich tapestry of the story.
In summary, "The Housemaid is Watching" is a compelling and thought-provoking novel that skillfully addresses the intricacies of child-rearing and family communication. It’s a must-read for anyone interested in psychological thrillers and family dramas. I highly recommend this book for its engaging plot and insightful commentary on family dynamics.

I loooooveeee all Freida McFadden books and this set was no exception!
However give this book 3 stars because while the plot is intriguing and the characters are well-developed, I loved seeing what life married to Enzo is like but I found some parts of the story to be predictable and the pacing a bit slow at times. It felt like in some areas it dragged and I was anticipating a "The Shock"
However, Freida's writing style is soooooo engaging and the suspense the second guesses maintained throughout the book! This is by far a decent read for fans that love mystery and suspense.

Great wrap to the series!

Terrific ending to a fabulous series! Way to call it a wrap Ms. McFadden! In the third and final book to the Housemaid series, Millie is married to handsome landscaper Enzo and together they have two children, Ada and Nico. After moving from their small apartment to a home on Long Island, Millie is sure she has finally achieved everything she wanted. But the neighbors on her cul-de-sac are strange, each in their own way. And the maid that is now cleaning Millie’s house seems peculiar as well. Will life at Number 14 Locust Street be all that she wished for? A quick-paced, thrilling ending to the series that was all the rage. Freida McFadden never disappoints and how she conjures up her book ideas, is a mystery of its own.

For the 3rd and final(or at least I think so) of the Housemaid series, I figured I’d jump on this since it recently released. I will admit, I was not a fan of the beginning(moreso cause I just came off of reading mostly fantasy books so it’s a way different genre and mood). I wasn’t sure where this was going cause we know our characters Millie and Enzo, however, the 2nd half of the book is where we start getting interesting. I always think I can predict Freida’s twists but I’m always wrong and I love the element of surprise in her books and this was no different. I think it was a really good end to this series especially if you’ve read the first book there is a lot of callouts and throwbacks to that one.
Is this book perfect? No. I definitely think this would’ve been a good neighborhood thriller standalone but I think it was a good way to wrap up our characters that we’ve grown to know and love. I would think if Freida McFadden decided to write another Housemaid book, I think it would be too redundant. But I think if you’ve read the housemaid series, this is still a good recommendation but it’s not as good as the first book and in my opinion, better than the 2nd book.

4.5 stars!!
This is the 3rd book in “The Housemaids” series and can be read as a stand alone. Though I think the first two books were even better!!
I am a huge fan of this author. I was super excited for this book and yes I devoured it. It had a great twist like I knew it would. She leads you one way but it’s never the correct way.
I like Enzo, don’t get me wrong, but in this book he was different. I mean I know he was meant to be but I think I like Millie as sooo bad ass. So weird seeing her as a mom too.
The twist to this book was freaking good. I just think the rest of the story was good not great. The twists are what keeps me coming back!!

Loved book 3!!!

I have read all these housemaid books about Millie. I have read online reviews on this book where people said it was awful. I totally disagree. It may not be as wonderful as the first book in the series, which is probably usually the case, but I think it is another good book about Millie. It kept me wandering and wanting to read more. I read this book in three days. A friend of mine read it and loved it as well. I think this book left a lot hanging about many of the characters. I think Freida could write many books on some of these character’s backgrounds. I connect so well with her writing and never get bored. I think it was totally worth the read and I’m praying she writes a book 4 very soon because I will be buying that and reading it as well!! You go, Freida!!!

If you have never read any books in this series, you should really begin with the first book and work your way through. You won’t be disappointed!
Although McFadden’s books start out a little slow, it is because she is building the characters and plot for you. Then she hooks you and keeps you on the edge with the twists that keep coming. Her unique style of telling the book from one character then letting you hear the other side is fantastic and adds to the twisty plot. Each book in the series has been this way and the last book sure didn’t disappoint! Just when you think you have it all figured out, there is another twist! I highly recommend this author, series, and book!!

This was the third in the series. It is nice to get to see Millie with a family. But the book was a little slower than the other two were. It did pick up about half way through though.
