If the thought of studying sentence structures and grammar terrorizes you, this is the course for you. It's very organic and easy to follow, with no pressure to memorize everything. I found it to be useful to prepare me for a university German course.

This will be my third language. I’ve already been through the whole experience of acquiring a new language as an adult, so I know what I need. Trust me when I say this guy knows what he’s doing. He’s got his own approach that oversimplifies things to help you acquire a framework that you can adjust to accomodate more complexity. Other courses tend to throw tons of bizarre constructions at you with very poor if any explanation, which frustrates those of us who cannot retain anything we don’t understand. Let this guy help you.

I bought this book as well as Rosetta Stone. I use rosetta stone whenever I can sit down but I love listening to this audible while cleaning the house or driving.
Paul Noble offers an easy way to learn German and his technique is simple. He offers pauses and breaks throughout so that it gives the listener time to think about the sentence and say it out loud.

I highly recommend purchasing this if you are looking for a simple way to learn German. Its interesting how many words are similar between German and English.

Used this program before a trip to Switzerland and Deutschland and found it much easier to get by in day to day interactions with German speakers. I like the hear-say program and the production quality is very good.

For reasons left unexplained, this instructor desperately wants to avoid using grammar terms. At one point he apologizes for ten minutes for having to introduce the concept of "a verb," (which he explains as "a word that can follow I, you, and he and sometimes to.") What really infuriated me was when he starts referring to the direct object of a verb as "the victim of the situation." (I kid you not.) I liked his approach of pointing out ways in which German was similar to English and using familiar words, but at this point I'm looking for a different course.
