About this item

Meghan, Brecia, and Skye have just one thing in common.

They were all murdered by the same man.

He hunted them online, masquerading as an eligible bachelor. Then he played the perfect gentleman, a thick layer of charm and a thousand-watt smile hiding the fact that his first dates end in shallow graves.

He’s gotten away with murder three times now.

The only thing that might keep him from killing again? The women he murdered.

Meghan, Brecia, and Skye might be dead, but they’re not gone. They’ve found each other. And they won’t rest until they find a way to stop him.

The haunt is on.

Noelle Ihli is getting to be a better and better writer. I already enjoyed all of her books to various degrees, but Ask for Andrea was far better than I had anticipated.
I don't care much for the book's title, but it made sense during the story. The three protagonists were murdered women (ghosts?) who remained in their time and saw their bodies, families and murderer.
Ms Ihli is very creative, and I loved her version of what happens after death. Can you fly? Can you been seen, heard or felt? Can you change things, or are you doomed to just watch them occur? These and many more matters were very well handled. She has obviously contemplated death a great deal!
It was a bit slow for a thriller. Run on Red and Room for Rent were complete roller coaster reads, but Andrea was compelling and I kept finding more extra time to read it. Very nice all the way through.
Gray After Dark is next, I'm starting it tonight!

4.0 out of 5 stars Wild Ride!

You guys! This book! I'm still a little shaken from it. I just loved it. It was a 4.5 stars for me!

I went in not really knowing the wild ride I was in for. I also didn't know this was the same author who wrote Run On Red, which I really enjoyed both the chase and the writing of that one.

Noelle W. Ihli's writing is so refreshing. It's just so good. With the creepiest of topics filling the pages, the way she writes just makes this that much better.

I felt every emotion and panic from the very beginning until the bitter, bitter end. My heart was racing with each page turn. I read this in a day. I needed to just rip the bandaid and get it over with and find out what happened. In fact, I couldn't not know what happened. It was that much of a suspense.

I've never read a book from a ghosts point of view. And honestly, would normally think it wouldn't be for me, but the way it was executed made it so fun and interesting. I love the point of views. Each girl (and later ghost) having their own story but coming full circle when they meet as ghosts and connect in an unstoppable way.

It made me sick that James was a regular every day functioning human in society. He was a dad. He was a husband. An employer at a job. He did every day things and then also was a cold-blooded killer. I felt chills thinking about how he was out pretending to be someone else, meeting women, killing women and then going home and tucking his children into bed. This tugged on my heart strings.

I felt for his wife and continued to question how she didn't sense it! (I always tend to wonder how you don't know or see it when something in real life like this happens) There has to be warning signs, right?! I don't even know but certainly felt sad for her when she began to unravel the pieces.

I could feel her every move at the end. Running through the woods. Full blown mama bear mode protecting her cubs.

The three main characters, Meghan, Brecia and Skye were all so likable. I wanted their story to be different. I didn't want them robbed of their future. But was glad they were able to do their part in helping April and her two children escape the monster they were living with behind closed doors. I truly enjoyed getting to know them with each chapter. They were relatable and so well developed.

!!!POTENTIAL SPOILERS!!!

Three women, murdered by the same man, are on a journey in the afterlife to seek justice before they can move on.

I haven’t read books with ghosts before, but I loved reading the different perspectives of the women in this book. Each was an emotional story that starts from before the girls were murdered and ends right before they move on. I loved the suspense in it and how each of the girls dealt with grief differently in the afterlife. It was interesting how the murderer’s family was a brief focal point of the book.

I did not start reading this book with the expectation of learning so much from it. This book addresses how dangerous dating can be, especially with social apps and online dating apps. Although each of the girls’ bodies were found and recovered, I like that the author mentions how many women go missing and become cold cases or aren’t found for years. Prior to reading this book, I didn’t know about what effects date rape drugs can have or the importance of knowing when to ask for Andrea. It made me realize how important it is to communicate who you’re on a date with (name and photo), the location of the date, how you met the person, and having your cell phone on during the date. I highly recommend this book for young adults who are online dating or dating in general because there are so many things that can be learned from reading this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captivating and Refreshing Writing!

Noelle W. Ihli's writing is truly refreshing and captivating. Despite the creepiest of topics filling the pages, her skillful prose elevates the story to another level.

From the very beginning until the bitter end, I felt every emotion and panic. My heart raced with each page turn, and I found myself unable to put the book down, reading it in just one day. The suspense was palpable, driving me to uncover the chilling truths lurking within.

Reading from the ghost's point of view was a unique experience, and one I never thought I would enjoy. However, Ihli's execution made it both fun and fascinating. Each character, living or otherwise, had their own captivating story, culminating in a mesmerizing connection that kept me hooked until the final page.

The portrayal of James, a seemingly ordinary man with a chilling secret, sent shivers down my spine. It was chilling to think about how someone could lead such a double life, balancing the mundane with the monstrous.

I empathized deeply with his wife, grappling with the realization of her husband's true nature. The tension and suspense were palpable as she unraveled the pieces of his facade, culminating in a heart-pounding climax where she fought fiercely to protect her children.

The main characters, Meghan, Brecia, and Skye, were all incredibly likable and well-developed. Despite the tragedies they faced, their resilience and determination were inspiring. I found myself rooting for them every step of the way.
