After a famous comedian rips her best friend in the middle of his biggest show ever and elevated her disabilities to the butt of his joke, her best friend spirals.

After finding out from a kindhearted detective that her best friend took her own life, Hollis makes it her new mission to make that comedians life a living hell.

The only problem with that is Detective Quincy Carter with the Dallas Police Department insinuates himself into her life, making it impossible for her to achieve her goals.

Try as she might, she cant shake him, and soon, the lines between hate and love start to blur.

    We met the Carter family in Keene's book, in the Welcome to the Circus series. They've been through some tough times, but never lose their closeness as a family, and in Quincy & Hollis's story, we continue to see that bond.

    The story starts out somewhat sad, with an emotional loss. That is partly what brings these two together, but their relationship doesn't have a pall over it. In fact, I loved the hilarity of Quincy & Hollis's relationship. He's keeping an eye on her to keep her "stalking" at bay, but in turn, becomes HER stalker! It's cute.

    Hollis's family is ... not the best, and I love seeing her brought into the Carter fold. She & Quincy are connected in a few different ways they didn't know about, too, which was cool. There's a bit of a mystery going on with a couple of Quincy's cases that was interesting, too.

    Just the right amount of steam & lots of good times & an enjoyable story. I'm gonna continue enjoying this family!

    The first time Police Officer Quincy Carter sees Hollis Aue he feels the boom, he is definitely intrigued by the woman who gives him nothing but attitude. The second time Quincy is would rather be anywhere else then consoling her. Quincy can't say that their interactions have been forgettable and he can't seem to stop finding her doing things that are against the law.

    Hollis is out for revenge. She is angrier at the person who caused her friend a deep hurt and she has no plans in letting up. So when Quincy Carter shows up to remind her of her restraining order, she finds herself finally focused on the man who is quickly capturing her heart. Can the rulebreaker and the rule maker find a happily ever after?

    Sat down read and started the next book. Love this series. I liked everyone in this book and cannot wait for the brothers books. Hollis does what she needs to do and I thought she was one of the best characters in this authors book so far. Terrific.

    Fun and heartwarming read. It started off with tears. But it was awesome read. With lots of cute one liners and lots of sexy men.

    Hollis and Quincy are a match made in heaven! We were introduced to Quincy and the Carter Family when his sister Ande married Keene in "The Fool". Hollis a hard worker, caring, and compassionate character. Her character is very well developed and her snark is on point! Quincy, he's also a hard worker, caring, and compassionate. He connects well to Hollis after her friend dies by suicide and his words of wisdom to Hollis really seem to help her in her time of need. He is also a very well developed character. He's the oldest of the Carter kids and you can see it in his reaction and protection of others. I really enjoyed reading their story. You can tell the Lani took her time and care in writing Hollis losing her best-friend to suicide. Each word, scene, and chapter was well developed and thoughtful. I highly recommend this book.

    I loved this book. Quincy maybe my new favorite male character of Lani’s. And Hollis is just so free spirited and independent, love her. These two meet one another when Quincy is helping his brother with security for a comedian since they need to keep a lookout for a “craze fan”. Quincy finds Hollis spunky meanwhile Hollis thinks Quincy is bad news since he is a cop and could cause her plans to fizzle out. I laughed so much at Hollis’s antics they were great. This was one of those books that I couldn’t put down. Even though it did start off sad so have tissues near by. By the middle and end of the story I was laughing and rooting for Hollis to get her revenge in a sense.
    I definitely recommend reading this book. It really was a great first book to a new series.

    What a great beginning to another new series!
    Absolutely loved Quincy and Hollis and the Carter family!
    The twists and turns and humor will keep you in your toes. And the progression of Hollis and Quincy’s love story will have you feeling every emotion. Can’t go wrong with a LLV story!

    A fantastic start to a new series. No Cap is an emotional, humorous, sweet and heartwarming story of two people that certainly belonged together. Quincy and Hollis are absolutely adorable together. Quincy is what most women would want in a man, he's protective, loyal, understanding and he loves Hollis and all her quirks. I loved and adored every single moment of this meaningful and heartfelt story. I was left satisfied and grinning from ear to ear.
