I read a lot of James Patterson so when I saw this book I signed up for it from my library to read on my Kindle. I had no idea what it was about. I thought it was fiction. Maybe a mystery about Vegas? What it turned out to be was a mesmerizing true life book of many chapters, each focusing on one aspect of Vegas. One about Elvis, one about Steve Wynn and his wife and casinos. Others about everyday people who came to Vegas and made something wonderful about their lives. I couldn't put it down. I read it in 2 days. I didn't want it to end. I loved it!

Sin City is Exposed but never Embarrassed

I have been to Las Vegas 63 times beginning in 1976 and thought I knew everything about it. Patterson proved me wrong. I am glad he did. His collection of stories about Las Vegans unearths some unsavory characters but he makes them sound appealing. That is because they are abnormal people blending into a totally abnormal city. Viva Las Vegas!!

It’s well written by co-author, Mark Seal, a nonfiction author.
True stories about Las Vegas according to people that have lived there, worked there & visited.
Interesting stories.

I love Patterson. There are only a handful of books of his that I haven't liked, and I have read many of his books. I like the way he describes the characters in his books. Usually fast paced and easy to read.
