About this item

A man presumed dead is suddenly wanted for murder in this thriller of secrets, lies, and dangerous conspiracies that threaten to cover up the truth.

Three years ago, sports agent Myron Bolitar gave a eulogy at the funeral of his client, renowned basketball coach Greg Downing. Myron and Greg had history: initially as deeply personal rivals, and later as unexpected business associates. Myron made peace and moved on–until now, when two federal agents walked into his office, demanding to know where Greg Downing is.

According to the agents, Greg is still alive—and has been placed at the scene of a double homicide, making him their main suspect. Shocked, Myron needs answers.

Myron and Win, longtime friends and colleagues, set out to find the truth, but the more they discover about Greg, the more dangerous their world becomes. Secrets, lies, and a murderous conspiracy that stretches back into the past churn at the heart of Harlan Coben's blistering new novel.

Myron and Win remain one of my favorite series and really wish we could see this one come to the screen, of some type.

Fast moving, great characters, and strong plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Are The Dead Always Dead

For me, there is very little that can compete with the treat of sitting with a cold beverage and reading Coben's latest Myron Bolitar/Win Lockford novel. Their novels have become "must read immediately" for me since I first discovered them years ago. The incredible friendship and loyalty these two friends have is extraordinary and their exploits, coupled with wise cracking and genuine affection, keep bringing me back for more. Of course, the chasm between Myron's conflicted sense of right and wrong is so juxtaposed to Win's views that life is simple especially if we just eliminate the bad guys.

In "Think Twice", both Myron and Win are stunned to learn that Greg Downing, a man whose life has seemingly been intertwined with Myron's since college, may still be alive even though he was declared dead and buried years ago. This revelation leads to our heroes running a parallel investigation with the FBI to discover where Greg might be and what his relationship to a newly discovered serial killer might be.

The plot is tightly constructed and many of its elements seem fresh in "Think Twice". My only quibble is that Win, while integral, is not active enough in this story. Again for me, Myron alone does not carry one of these books nearly as well as when Myron and Win are together. Myron needs Win and vice versa. My last quibble is with Coben's writing schedule. I have become a committed reader of all his material but it seems Myron/Win have been slid to the back burner as this is their first new novel in years.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good page turner !

I’m reading this book while I was in the hospital so I was on a lot of drugs so I did have a bit of trouble with the flow, but I think that’s because of my mental state and not the way the book is written. The characters are easy to follow and like or hate The plot was fun and I became attached to the main character Myron. I didn’t really know what was going on until about 65% of the book was finished which I found a little disturbing but again my mental state , but if you’re looking for a quick read, good Page Turner I recommend this book , don’t think twice lol.

We read a lot of Harlan Coben books, but this series is particularly good. It would make a really good TV series. It was full of twists and turns and I didn't want to put it down.

It’s been a long time since I’ve read a new book with my favorite dynamic duo. (I keep re-reading the previous stories just to keep in touch with these old friends.) Thoroughly enjoyed the book. Another to come?

So many of my go to authors write books now that are predictable and not innovative. Not this one. Amazing plot, keeps u guessing the whole way through.
Great characters, I did have to go back a few times to keep them straight, but that is why I have a kindle. And not one social justice or political comment. Or undertones. How great.

4.0 out of 5 stars Bolitar and Win Rules

I have never read a bad Coben book, but it is always the Bolitar books I love the most. The Bolitar character is great and when paired with Win the duo is wonderful. Some of the story line is a bit convoluted but the serial killer twist (which I will not give away) is something I have never heard or thought about. So clever.
