Hands down, amazing mafia series!

This whole series was so epic. It was well written and engaging. Plot twists and fight scenes and explosions and all the alpha obsession you could want. The best part of all of it is the brotherhood found in the Alliance. Those men are hilarious thrown together as a group. I love the banter between all the couples. Was hesitant about Hans to start, but him and Cassie were amazingly well written and lovable. Which considering he was, a walking red flag, stalking her, is saying something. I want to now read all of this author's books. These characters are so memorable, and their stories are so, so good. Do not miss this series. Go read Nero now. The diamond encrusted brass knuckles make an appearance, and we get a katana to add to Nero's wild toys. So good!!

Being a huge fan of Nero, King, and Dom I was so thrilled that we were getting more! When I found out that Hans was getting his very own book I couldn't wait to read it! This the character I needed to know more about! This fourth installment became an instant anticipated read of mine. I dived right back into the Alliance Series and couldn't turn away. I absolutely loved this story!
Hans has been such a mystery and I was so happy that we were getting his story!
Hans and Cassie's journey immediately hooked me and didn't let go! These two souls get more than they expected as they become neighbors. Cassie bakes and brings over what she makes to Hans, but the door is her greeter, not him. When circumstances have Hans and Cassie's worlds colliding, will they give into temptation and dive into the darkness, together?
There was so much more to Hans than meets the eye and I loved getting to peel back his layers as well as Cassie's. I admired Cassie and her dedication to her blog. I adored her and how relatable, strong, and priceless she was. Hans was such a tough man surrounded by darkness, but his heart shined. The humanness shown by both Cassie and Hans throughout was so wonderful. They were so curious about each other. The back and forth between these two was not only entertaining, but full of feels and utterly blushworthy! The nicknames they have for one another, Butterfly and Grizzly Bear are seriously two of my favorites ever. ????
Gah! The way Cassie was just as obsessed with Hans as Hans was with Cassie! And their chemistry, Holy fire! Some of the most unforgettable and heat filled moments. Hans and Cassie together were absolutely Chef's kiss, everybody! ????
Hans is one of those reads you don't wanna devour like a sweet treat yet at the same time you wanna savor every single word because you don't want to let this story and it's characters go! Move over Holidays, Hans is the only present I wanted and needed this year! ????????????
Being back in this world was so special for this heart of mine! The Alliance crew all shines bright with every single installment and getting more of them had my heart filled with so much dang joy!
With Hans, S.J. Tilly created an absolutely extraordinary, unique, epically addictive, dark, heat and heart filled novel that I'll never ever forget! She's done it once again, everyone! This was my most anticipated reads of the year and it absolutely blew me away and left me hugging my kindle with my chest full of all the feels! If you haven't met the Alliance crew yet, what are you waiting for?! You NEED these characters and their stories in your lives. Trust me, just like your favorite sweet treats, you'll want to devour Hans, Nero, King, and Dom! They have it all and then dome and this phenomenal series is not to be missed. Here's to the Alliance! ????????

Not my favorite Alliance Book
Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2024
Don't get me wrong -- I'm obsessed with this series. It's the development of the women's characters that has kept me coming back for more: they are vulnerable, interesting, damaged and complex. Starting with Peyton in Nero; she was fully developed as a heroine. In King, his Savannah was a talented artist who was deep and fought for her independence and identity. In Dom, Valentine's story began from childhood. Her arc was thorough and their love, worth fighting for.
I feel like by the time she got to Cassandra in Hans, she ran out of steam. Hans is one of my favorite of her dark heroes. His story is complicated (dark but actually beautiful and heroic). I had actually hoped he would be reserved for King's sister Aspen... And be the one who knocked down her hard walls. Oh well. It was still a great novel. Just the right amount of steamy, exciting, and well-written.

You Should be Reading This!!

If this were an auditory review, most of this would probably be a high-pitched squeal and excited gibberish noises. Because that is my truest response to this book, and the series as a whole.
Hans is the 4th and sadly final book in the Alliance series.
Every single title in this series has been fantastic, all of them well-written, with strong characterization and delicious spice mixed with edge-of-your-seat tension. Being a dark mafia series, of course it's been a brutal ride. But in the absolute best of ways.
I highly recommend the entire series. Start with the first book (Nero) and read them in order.
As for how I felt about this book specifically?
OMG.
I really, genuinely doubted Tilly could surpass the brilliance of book 3 (Dom). I devoured that book, it was my undisputed favorite read of 2023. So while I fully expected to love Hans, I also expected to love Hans just a little less.
I was wrong. I was so wrong. And I am so happy I was wrong.
Hans is amazing, as a book and also a character.
I laughed out loud, which I've done before for this series but is always an accomplishment.
The biggest thing for me, though?
I cried. I am not a reader who cries easily. I couldn't even say, before now, when the last time was that I read something that made me actually cry. Not tear up, but truly sob. And that is exactly what I did this time, and more than once. I sobbed so hard I had to
stop reading because I couldn't see the words through the tears!
So when I say Tilly did an amazing job weaving in the full gamut of emotions, I mean it's a beautiful roller coaster. Because it's worth every tear, every laugh, and every breath-holding moment of tension.
I could say so much more about this book, and about this series. All I will say is that she wraps everything up wonderfully. It's the most satisfying happy ending I've had the pleasure of enjoying in a long time.
So what are you still doing reading reviews? If you're thinking about it, dive in. Your heart will thank you!
