Preston Abernathy is the perfect Prince, but behind the straight-laced persona is a man with many secrets. The number one secret? He's in love with a Carrington, just not the one on his arm. His love for Archer is the one thing he's hidden so deep that he never expects it to see the light of day.

"Preston Abernathy was the kind of trouble I’d always made sure to avoid, so why was it that I could no longer seem to stay away?"

But after one scorching hot moment where Preston takes a chance, Archer can't see him in the same way anymore. The chemistry between them is too strong and when some of Preston's secrets are revealed, there's nothing that'll stop these two from being with each other.

"I’d never imagined a time when Archer Carrington would be as insatiable for me as I was for him, but this was real, it was happening, and the power that made me feel was all- consuming."

As entertaining as this book was, there was something lacking for me. There was so much emphasis on the sex and the scandal that the emotional aspect of it got lost in the middle. I kept waiting for moments where the MC's would dive deeper into their feelings for each other, and while there was a moment or two, it just wasn't enough for me to feel that connection.

"It was complicated as hell. A secret that could ruin us both. But there wasn’t one single part of me that regretted it."

But apart from that, this book was really enjoyable! It was sexy, and I loved how supportive the Prince's were. Yes, they're never going to let Preston forget about the things he hid from them, but their jokes and teasing is how they show their love and there was tons of that in this book. I feel like I have a good idea of who the next few books are going to be about and I'm so excited for them!!

If you enjoy scandalous, age-gap romances with tons of spice, this is the book for you.

Preston Abernathy has a secret, more like many secrets. Secrets not even his closest friends know. The biggest being that he’s gay and his relationship with his girlfriend Serapena is fake. Serena is his best friend and they decided to date for their mutual benefit, she need to improve her image and he needed to please his image-conscious parents. His other big secret is that he is in love with Serena’s father, Archer Carrington.

Archer has never considered Preston as anything more than Serena’s polite boyfriend until Preston kisses him at a party at their social club and reveals all is not what it seems with Serena. After that, Archer can’t seem to stop thinking about Preston. Once he confirms with his daughter that the two are, in fact, not dating, he allows himself to get involved with Preston. Soon the two men are engaged in a torrid secret affair.

"Scandalous Park Avenue Prince" is a captivating age-gap romance novel that explores the complex and irresistible attraction between Preston Abernathy and Archer Carrington, the father of Preston's fake girlfriend. From the moment Preston kisses Archer, it's clear that there's a powerful chemistry between them that neither of them can resist. Nothing on the writing itself, but I had a really tough time believing Archer and Preston are endgame. If it was just the age difference, sure. If Archer had only been related to Preston’s ex, maybe. But all those things together and then to have made them both so high profile! Like the instagrammer said about a red carpet dress, pick a struggle.
It was way too much plot and raised the awkwardness to a level I don’t think even a fictional couple could realistically survive.
Also, Preston’s friends are such a huge part of his life that the lack of a scene with all of them together is telling. Does he intend to go through life with his friends and Archer never mixing? And yet I can’t picture Archer tagging along with the wild Park Avenue Princes to an event crammed in their car. I can’t picture Archer doing *anything* with the best friends! Which never bodes well - for the friendships or the relationship.
I miss the simplicity of Donavan and Kelly getting caught doing porn.
