Wow so much emotions

This was an amazing and emotional story. The characters were wonderfully written and full of personality. There were many layers of family drama. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster reading about these families. So many twists & turns and ups & downs. The romance between Ryder and Hutch was sexy and exciting. This book was entertaining from start to finish. I couldn't put it down. 5 stars is not enough!

Another Riley Hart hit for me

Riley has written another book with great main characters, a good story line and of course in true Riley style, I was made to grab the hankies a couple of times. A love forbidden love and hooking up with your ex-wife's brother sure foot that bill. With Ryder and Hutch knowing each other since their early childhood and getting along well back then, (along with some hidden crush), it did help the story progress when they met later in life. The downer about this is the fact that many people and lives were effected by Ryder's discovery that he was gay, even though he was marriage to his life long best friend, Maddy. Try as he may to love her the way she deserved, he just had to be true to himself and her. With their families and businesses torn apart, Ryder took the opportunity to go find himself, only to return 5 years later to make a life for him in his hometown. Hutch was a prominent doctor, who although he had a heart and a lot to give, he never truly believed in himself, until seeing Ryder again. Even though they didn't know each other from the hook up site, there was something there that drew them together, neither one initially looking for anything more that that. The common bond they had was Ryder's ex and Hutch's younger sister Maddy. Since Maddy had been through cancer twice in her life, everyone. including her parents and her brother saw her as weak. Once they discovered who they wore, they fought their connection, but it as bigger than both of them. It got a little annoying at times that everyone was so concerned on how Maddy was going to take it, but honestly, it had been 5 years and she had made no attempt to move forward with her life. I was glad they they decided their relationship and feelings were worth it. Ryder was fortunate enough to always have the backing of his parents and sister, but Hutch could not say the same. Every story needs an antagonist and Grant Hutcherson truly fit the mold. Despite all the problems and the ultimate reveal of their relationship, I was glad they were strong enough to see it through. Some great side characters in Isaac, Luke and Layla.

Great story, well written. What happens when you fall for your sister's ex husband? Madison and Ryder were always best friends. Growing up Mads had two bouts with cancer and was always coddled and protected by her family. After five years of marriage together Ryder realized the problems he was having were because he was gay. Five years later Ryder returns to town and meets and falls for a man he meets on a dating app. They never meet in person. Just talk and text. When they finally do meet months later after falling for each other they realize who the other is. Ryder and Hutch, Madisons brother.

Okay. I read a lot. Especially in the MM genre and I love a lot of books and think that they’re cool. It takes a blockbuster of a book for me to leave a review. I’m just going to say to read it. It was worth every hard moment, every tough conversation and even the circumstances that brought them into each other’s lives. I loved this book and will probably be reading it again.

I love the depth of each character. This felt more like a book for Hutch, than for Ryder, but I enjoyed their story immensely. I liked the build up, the secrecy, the shock of realization. The explosiveness of when they actually gave in. I enjoyed how everything worked out in the end.

The premise of the book was intriguing and I’m always up for a Riley Hart book, but this one just didn’t quite do it for me. I loved Ryder and Hutch’s characters, though some of the dialogue was far-fetched. The thing that was really off-putting though, was Hutch’s sister, Maddy. At first, I felt a bit sorry for her, but the further into the book I went, the more I was just fed up with the drama surrounding her. Everyone catered to her because she had cancer as a kid and was very “sensitive.”

I think it would have been a much more enjoyable book if it was more about the MCs and less about the ex.

Wow, what a plot! Only Riley Hart could pull this one off. It’s more than complicated—it’s more like an impossible situation. But Riley Hart writes her characters so real and her stories so beautiful, that she turns the impossible into possible. The couple is adorable together, but you have to fight the side drama that comes with their relationship. Makes for quite a dynamic and interesting adventure. I loved the people and story as I always do with Riley’s books.

This is one of those books that I downloaded several months ago but kept picking others to read instead. When all along I should have read it the minute I downloaded it. It was great and the synopsis of it does not do it justice. It was not at all what I expected. It’s clear that Mrs. Hart is a seasoned pro. She just has a way of bringing something new and fresh to the mix and it draws you in. I highly recommend!
