I recommend this book to everyone. It makes so much sense. It should be available to schools. It is mostly easy reading for everyone. I enjoyed every bit and it will definitely help my life.
Thank you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book and critical for more to read

The author writes a compelling book, seemingly well researched. I do not like all the website references in the back that take you to more products or services you can purchase from him. I also did not like his two sentence endorsement on the effectiveness of mRNA COVID vaccines.

The Plan Chapter is actually pretty straight forward. The rest explains why a Keto based diet works and should provide the reader with the motivation to change one's lifestyle. Previous reviews go into more detail, but suffice to say, if you are experiencing chronic health conditions this book is worth the read. It provided me with reasonable explanations of why current nutritional/ medical guidelines may be wrong for me and what to look for. Read the book, then judge for yourself.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative!

This book explores the conventional causes of and approaches to dealing with many common modern-day health issues. By examining medical issues and conventions from multiple angles author Dr. Robert Lukfin provokes the reader to critically reflect on what they believe to be true about key health matters. What are the roles of nitric oxide and uric acid in hypertension? How can Dr. Otto Warburg and the UK's Catalogue of Somatic Mutations in Cancer increase our understanding of the disease beyond what the pharmaceutical companies lead us to believe? What do statins do to LP(a)? These are questions that get explored and answered in Lies I taught in Medical School.

There are other important points to ponder was well. What is relative risk reduction and how is it used to possibly skew medical studies? Is it possible to slow the progression of Alzheimer's Disease? What is the mTOR signaling pathway and how is it relevant to health and longevity?

The book is well written and laid out well for all types of readers, regardless of background or medical knowledge. This book concisely addresses metabolic health and its role in physical and mental illness. It is not only educational, it's empowering. To quote Francis Bacon: "Knowledge itself is power." Best of all, you don't need to agree with all of the advice at book's end to appreciate it and benefit from it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book - well worth the cost and time to read it!

I agree with the other 5-star reviews. So far, the book has helped me lose ten pounds. I plan to lose another ten and stay at my healthy weight level using the recommendations given in the "Plan" portion of the book—basically, cut out sugar, starches, carbs, and soda and eat a diet high in healthy fats and protein, veggies, and some fruit and dairy. Of course, get some exercise and proper sleep, and maybe a cute dog.

The book is well worth the read. If you get bogged down in too much detail, skip those parts. Every chapter has explanations that non-doctors can understand.

The book makes an excellent connection between improper advice on diet and how that is making us unhealthy AND that improper diet is connected to many of the diseases that most of us are affected by: cancer, diabetes, Altimers, fatty liver, heart disease, and others.

I suggest that the author write a shorter, easier-to-read version of the book suitable for non-doctors.

I devoured this book in two days and changed my entire diet to go sugar-less the very next day. It is very eye opening as to what it’s doing to our body and how much disease it causes. It’s only been 3 days and i see 100% difference in my entire mood and body - i will never go back. Easy to read and understand wish i had found it sooner.

3.0 out of 5 stars That's a lot of words just to say, "Go Keto."

I agree the author clearly is an expert. But after 5 chapters of reading about insulin I was done and skipped to The Plan. The plan isn't very detailed; it's just, go keto. The Arthur contends that the knock gets keto sustainability is incorrect because he maintains that diet. That flies in the face of the evidentiary millions of Americans who simply can't maintain such a diet. Not really any new information, but his take in the is pretty interesting for at least a few chapters.
