Take me apart is book one in the Vitale Brothers series and it’s the first book I have read from both of these authors and I am glad to say I was not disappointed at all!! This book was a phenomenal read! It had all the things I love about mäfìä romance and MM romance all wrapped into a perfect storyline. In this book we meet Enzo & Tex. A cop looking to make a name for himself with some skeletons of his own he’s running from & a ċřìmìnäl that enjoys tørtüring the people that have wrong him or his family, and that thrives in things being in order. I loved the level of details put into every scene/ scenario it made it so easy for me to sink into the story and wanting more!! I truly couldn’t put it down! I really enjoyed the banter between the characters but I also enjoyed being able to meet important side characters too and kinda start piecing together their importance for the book and the books to come. Tex & Enzo just made scene for me I never questioned them it was just too perfect of a connection between the two of them!!

Good lawddd the spice in this book was spicin the jalapeños were definitely pinoin!! The details in those scene really will have you needed some water and maybe a fan it was that spicy! I enjoyed each and every scene!!

As stated this is book one of an interconnected series that can be read as a standalone but in my opinion makes more sense reading in order to fully understand the over all storyline!!

I think this series has become my new obsession. Enzo and Tex were an explosive couple to start this series with. The classic good cop and bad mafia man who fall in love while knowing the danger and risk. Interesting storyline and hot steamy scenes make me crave more Vitale brothers.

The Vitale brothers are famous, and now I understand why. There really is a lot of madness in this family.
In this book we have the story of the youngest of them, Enzo, who becomes completely obsessed with Tex, the cop who is trying to make detective by arresting the whole family.
The chemistry between them is instant and the sense of ownership they have for each other is almost as instant. This book is a huge red flag! Nevertheless, a beautiful relationship is established between them, which even has its tender undertones.
The story is quite explicit in its violence, but the authors manage to make it an easy read thanks to the humor in the dialogues between the characters.
A super addictive book that leaves you wanting more.

I normally love most everything from these two authors, but something about this book just didn’t click for me. I couldn’t relate to Tex and while I know nothing of how promotions within police departments actually work, I didn’t find his situation to be believable.

The Vitale’s however, were perfect. I loved that Enzo was neuro-divergent as well as being a ruthless killer. He wasn’t a good man, and he isn’t trying to hide it from Tex.

Love this story a tad bloody & disgusting but you are dealing with the mafia!!!! It is a page turner with all the dealings with the cops and the many betrayals and it is a little dark for me but is was fun
