Where do I even start? Let’s start with how this is the final installment in the Salacious Players Club series and I’m absolutely heartbroken and sobbing about it. I’ve loved this series so much and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. With that said, this was such an incredibly beautiful and heartwarming way to end the series. My expectations were set high and I was thrilled about finally reading Eden aka Madame Kink’s story. My expectations? Oh, they weren’t met at all, they were surpassed and then some! Sara delivered, and delivered good. I loved this so much. I honestly don’t know how I will recover.

From the moment we met Eden in Praise, I instantly liked her. With the glimpses we’ve had of her throughout this series, she’s been increasingly intriguing. Eden’s story was heartbreakingly beautiful, uplifting and wholesome.

We learn that Eden broke up with Clay, her client turned almost-boyfriend, and we’re in the aftermath of this breakup. We also learn that Clay has a new girlfriend, Jade. After Clay and Jade run into Eden at the cinema, Eden finds herself in the middle of their relationship and her private life exposed to them- which she has done everything possible to keep private.

There’s this character in this book that is the sweetest most precious ever and the moments with this character was so heartwarming and wholesome. My heart almost couldn’t take it.

I loved the flashback scenes with Eden and Clay which gave perspective of their romance and how they came to break up. They were linked beautifully with the present. I loved her relationship with Clay and I felt so sad and heartbroken when I learned why they broke up. I also loved Clay’s relationship with Jade. The forbidden element made their romance hot but you could see their true hearts so plainly and I absolutely loved them together. Jade was such a sweet firecracker! Not only did I love her relationship with Clay but I loved her dynamic with Eden too- so hot! They were all just perfect together. I loved how much they grew individually, painfully so at times, but good god they were wonderful together. There were a few heartbreakingly painful moments, so many heartwarming and precious moments and so, so, so many deviously hot moments between them all, and individually- iykyk!

I loved that these characters were down to earth and their development was perfectly done. There was something so calming about them that I just felt made sense- they made sense together. There were also serious topics that were addressed with patience and respect, and I also enjoyed how Sara handled the different aspects of a poly relationship. It all felt so natural and well-paced.

This was one of the hottest books I’ve read. The FFM was perfectly done, and this book had some of the spiciest scenes I’ve read. I’m so sad (I literally just sobbed my eyes out crying now to my besties about this book being the final one after finishing it) about my favorite series ending. I’ve loved every minute of Madame and I’ve enjoyed this series immensely. I’ve bonded with my besties over this series! Also, the reunion (Now I’m tearing up again) was such a lovely surprise- I loved it so much.

With that said, I’m so happy that Eden got her hea. I cannot even begin to express how much I loved the epilogue. This is how you do a perfect epilogue. Thank you, Sara!

I loved it.

The Salacious Players' Club series ends with Eden's story, and I am here for it.

Years before we come to know Eden St. Claire, she was a completely different person, but thanks to Ronan Cade, that has all changed. Now Eden is the Domme we know and adore: confident, mysterious, and sexy.

Then Clay Bradley enters the picture, and he seems to rock the perfectly curated and emotionless world that Eden has built for herself. When Eden shoves him out of her life for daring to touch something in her, he returns years later with a woman by his side. Jade is diametrically opposite of who Eden is, but looks can be deceiving because Jade wants to learn from Eden. Can she keep feelings outside of this arrangement, especially when she realizes that despite kicking Clay out of her life, he possessed her heart all along?

First of all, I love Sara Cate. Her books are always a must-read for me despite being emotionally wrecked by a few of them. SPC has been one of my favorite erotic series with Give Me More and Eyes on Me leading the charge as my favorites and setting the bar (high) for the rest of the series.

Eden's story just seemed out of place with the series I know and love. Don't get me wrong; the story still ate. I love the chemistry between Clay and Eden and Jade (though be warned - the Jade-Eden dynamic may seem instalust/instalove for some). The spicy scenes are par for the course with Sara Cate; they're hot, they're creative, and they will leave you thirsty and wanting for days.

If I had read this as a standalone, I would have taken the story for what it is, but the Eden in this book did not quite fit the Eden I've met in previous books. The confident, mysterious, and sexy Domme that flitted in and out of the SPC world in books one to five has some serious dents in her armor in this read. While I had expected that to some extent, I felt there was a certain lack of consistency from the woman in this read.

Like I said, regardless of what I think is somewhat of a major flaw, the story itself is still fantastic.

If you don’t read them in order you will get lost but this book was awesome! I didn’t like the ending because it left unanswered questions for the series!! Like who was the girls’s bio mom? Did both Eden and Jade have one or were they both Jade’s? Then who was Jack talking to one the phone before he showed up at the house? Ronan? Just too many questions and both enough answers.

However, this book like the others has hit a perspective of someone who went through some form of hell! It shows the inner struggles and how they over came it. Awesome series!
