5.0 out of 5 stars Concise and Informative! YES YES & YES

I love this book and just as he said, I listen to it over and over again. I wrote notes and refer to them often. When I am getting stuck, I listen just for motivation. His ideas spark ideas in me! There are examples that help you understand everything. He has a great personality and sometimes does these kinds of voiceovers pretending to be characters from books; it's hilarious. The man literally helps with everything from plot to characters to punctuation AND goes over reasons for use. I would pay him to edit my book. This book has become my holy grail.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent compilation of many aspects of fiction

I have many of James Scott Bell's nonfiction works on writing craft. This course pulls the important nuggets from many of those other materials into one course (idea development, characters, plots, dialogue, the middle, etc). The 264pg pdf downloadable pdf follows the course material well. If an author were to religiously follow all of the teachings in this course, they would be well on the way to a successful writing career. I listened to this over a couple days, and will definitely listen to it multiple times for reinforcement.

Bell is a master teacher as well as an excellent narrator. I listened to this book on Audible. If you want to write fiction and sell your stories, get this book. I wish I read this years ago. Five well-earned stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a Great Teacher!

Am so pleased with this audiobook and James Scott Bell as a teacher. His voice is easy to listen to and his instructions are clear and easy to follow. I found myself wanting to take notes, but then remembered there is an accompanying PDF with notes from what he is teaching. Definitely recommend this for writers looking for good information on creating a bestselling novel.
