About this item

“As the Knight of The Last Horizon, I challenge you.”

The Last Horizon has already sown new legends across the galaxy, tales of monsters defeated and worlds saved. For better and for worse, their reputation is spreading.

Their enemies have taken notice.

On Karosha, the Perfected gather fleets crewed by inhumanly flawless soldiers. In the Galactic Union, the secretive organization known as Solstice pulls strings in the shadows. And in the depths of Dark Space, after years of silence, the ravenous D’Niss begin to stir.

Raion Raithe, Knight of The Last Horizon, sees these threats as a chance to redeem himself. He will stand against the danger, and he will stand strong, no matter what it costs.

His friends are counting on him.

The Knight is Book Three in a planned six-book series.

The book is amazing!
I The main character is even better, I’ve always enjoyed the main characters will wight create and I am a fan from his cradle series.
My only complaint is the perspective change I’ve always hated them with a passion, a strong passion at that. I’ve dropped many great books because of this and finding one where it stays focused on the main character and his developments is hard unless you want a harem or somthing dumb like an easy to predict plot.
After saying that I stand by will wight as he has mastered it, he may change POV’s but it’s not for long and it’s for a reason that contributes to the story and reasoning behind the main characters actions.
Another thing I am not a fan of the flash backs glad to say he also doesn’t make them long and they’re also a good build up behind the story which adds emotion and epic moments to the main characters action.
All in all 5/5 he is the reason I plan to write a book this author is talented beyond all mesure and this series rubs the itch for a main mage character and will be a good reference for my book, I’ve read many books and this is at the top.

So obviously I'm a fan, I've read everything Will has written including his short stories.

The Knight does some flash backs to previous lives and gives you more in-depth personal reactions to how Varic bounds with his crewmates, especially as you guess it Raion. But is not dry or boring and keeps you engaged. The book also introduces you to several new Galaxy ending enemies that I won't name to stop spoiling it for anyone. The book does a good job advancing the story and developing character growth without becoming stale or leaving you wondering why the characters are doing something.

I obviously couldn't put the book down and am at a loss as to what to do now...I'll probably start the audiobook. If you like Wills work you won't be disappointed in this book as it keeps his quality standard. Definitely worth the price and the time to read.

Not my favorite will wight book. This series is a little repetitive and can drag a little at times. However, I do still find it interesting and entertaining. It's always nice to find a good sci-fi/fantasy author who doesn't use a lot of profanity and sex. Excellent writer.

These books keep getting better and better!

I will be auto buying each one going forward. It is now becoming scifi adventure however the characters became even more “real” in this book. So much heart and tons of action. Well Done!!

A sentai hero deals with politics, wizards, and space bugs. I guess the space bugs aren't that strange for sentai.

A great continuation of the series, following the themes and characterization of the previous books. Raion doesn't quite fit in with this series, which is the point. While everyone else is scheming and backstabbing, he's just being an all-around wonderful person. This book has some dark parts, but I still loved it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but Flawed

I enjoyed this volume. The characters are engaging, the politics are layered, the action is a spectacle, and the relationships are complicated in familiar ways.
Unfortunately, many characters (especially secondary and antagonist characters) are exaggerated so much that they are parodies. Many of the fights are pointless power displays, since the narrative requires one outcome.
I enjoyed it, and recommend it, but the author has done better.
