I am a massive fan of Lisa Jewell's writing and have paper copies of all her books! This was my first e book purchase and I miss the paper! The story was lovely, the characters were all so flawed and yet totally likeable. Their flaws were understandable, even the main character Adrian, the serial moth was appealing and sweet! I love the ending, kept me guessing until poor Maya discovered the author of the nasty messages too. And yet all the clues were there! I miss the paper because it's much easier to go back and look for the clues in a tree book than on a electronic device with 4% battery at 2am because the book has kept me awake til then! Another brilliant story from a writer who's work is unputdownable.

A Good, if complicated Family Saga

Kept my interest in this not so small family the whole way through. A tough subject to address and Lisa Jewell does a good job! Great ending. Life isn't always what we think it should be but it can be its own form of pleasant if the people we are close to can stop and think of others just a little , realizing honesty is crucial and appreciating what we have is too. Great Read.

She is such a brilliant author! I think anyone who is raising teenage children should read this book. Very rarely do we get to see the depth of choices and lack of insight that builds the foundation for a narcissist. The main character was very likable and relatable, yet the author shows through the course of the plot, how his cavalier attitude toward the gravity of his decisions impacted everyone else including his children.

Definitely a cautionary tale to telling our children that their only obligation is to the pursuit of their happiness.

I thought this would be a shocking thriller whodunit like all LJ other books but it's more of a love & family story with a few shocking secrets that turn out to be not that shocking & about a Man learning to face reality very interesting way to tell a story about love & family

I read a ton and I have to say that "The Third Wife" is one of my favorites from the past twelve months. There's an element of mystery to it, which keeps you at the edge of your seat, but more importantly are the actual characters. Jewell does a perfect job of capturing the emotions of the five children Adrian has left behind from his previous two marriages as well as the range of emotions felt by the new wife, Maya. And she does a fabulous job covering Adrian himself, who isn't cruel or mean but rather selfish and immature, both of which have their lasting effects on all of his family. Highly recommend. About to binge on other Lisa Jewell books, as this was my first.
