Its very up lifting for me, it does have a lot of bible verses in it, but not over whelming, its helping me with the trauma that's going on in my life, it has many different sections in the book, there is also a section for parenting, for love relations, family, friends, and co-workers, and self improvement and guilt and how people use you or anyone to get there way, its a straight forward, its helps you how to handle the situation. so get you highlighters and post it notes handy cause you going to need them..good luck in all you do, take care of yourselves, Its ok to say no.

Great Book!

I purchased this book along with the workbook for our 6 week long ladies bible study over none other than Boundaries. While studying this book, I felt as though the authors integrate psychological insights with Christian principles, making it super easy for all readers to understand from all diverse backgrounds. Although this book was originally published back in 1992 the context by Dr's Henry Cloud and John Townsend emphasize how boundaries are defined as where one person ends and another begins. The teaching within these chapters serve as guidelines for acceptable behavior, actions, and interactions not only with ourselves but also among our relationships. Whether you are struggling with asserting yourself at work, maintaining healthy boundaries with family members or simply seeking greater self- awareness, I highly recommend reading and working through the workbook "Boundaries" as it offers vaulable guidance into taking control of our lives.

Would recommend to anyone struggling setting and maintaining boundaries. This is a really well written book with easy to understand, applicable points. The book is broken into different aspects of your life to make it easy to refer back to when struggling with a certain aspect (eg marriage, work, etc. ). Helped me a lot to understand how to set and maintain boundaries throughout my life to be happier with the relationships in my life.

Great Advice for Healthy Relationships

The focus on living by boundaries is very helpful. Recently, we had conflict with a couple we have been friends with for 25+ years. We discovered Narcissistic tendencies, including deceit in how the matter was handled. We took responsibility for our side in the conflict, but they did not. We stuck by our boundaries and simply do not initiate with them anymore. Way less drama.

This book really blessed my life! I thought I had a great life, but I did not have any boundaries in any area. I couldn’t figure out why I cursed in traffic so much but didn’t speak up against my family when they hurt me. I wasn’t angry with the bad drivers but it was what I thought was the only way to have control. Oh man but this blessed book helped me learn about boundaries and I love that the authors used Bible verses with every topic. So far my favorite chapter is about boundaries and your spouse! The yellow pages on the picture is 19 pages of notes from just one chapter.

Boundaries by Dr. Henry Cloud and Dr. John Townsend is a classic resource on the boundaries that is still highly relevant today. The book walks through the importance of boundaries, how to create and enforce them, and how they can help one’s relationships with family, friends, spouses, children, workplaces, oneself, and God. It is an incredibly helpful read – highly recommend.

For anyone and everyone. Great material!! Whether you are new to Boundaries or are familiar with them, I am sure this book will be a worthwhile read. I highly recommend for this book for anyone, but especially for those who have a quiet nature and prefer a more secluded lifestyle. I have learned so much, and am learning more every day. This book was key to helping understand what Boundaries are and how to communicate them without feeling guilty. [*Please note, that I do not recommend this book as a replacement for therapy where therapy is needed.]
