Caleb is so amazing

Loved everything about this. The sample drew me in, and I didn’t hesitate to get it.

Caleb is just absolutely amazing. So full of life and acceptance. I loved how he just rolled with everything. And how open he was with what he wanted. It’s rare that I love a character right from the start, and I did with him.

I wanted to wrap Whit up and let him know everything was going to be okay. Watching his layers get peeled back by Caleb was both beautiful and heartbreaking.

I adored Caleb’s family and friends. Mal was amazing from the beginning, and another character I immediately took to. Sem and Luke were awesome weirdo’s that brightened up every scene they were in. I’m so excited to read Sem’s story next.

There was laughter, spice, heartbreak, sadness, and beautiful love. I could not put this down. Cora Rose has a new fan.

Very cute.. slight spoilers ahead
Golden retriever and black cat relationship

Was very spicy like majority of the book so usually that's not a complaint but in this case it is cause it's like the entire book with the main story feeling like filler and I think the climax could have been a bit more drawn out with like the bad guy actually showing up and not just being mentioned- maybe even whits point of view for the confrontation because all we have is him saying it's resolved but don't get to see it happen

But in general the good kind of corny, very spicy, and very cute lovable characters and a very stoic closed off black cat love interest

I am so happy I read this one! It was absolutely EVERYTHING. I laughed, I cried, I blushed. These two were so stinking cute together, I am already ready for a re-read! Not only was the storyline entertaining, the chemistry between these two was super hot and you could feel their obsession with each other through the pages! Absolutely loved this story and will be buying a copy for my shelves.

This Book Wrecked Me

I don’t often leave actual reviews, but I had to this time. The twists and turns and the sweet, touching moments had me literally on edge til the very end. Steam, sad yet touching moments, and all the feelings in-between; hats off to Cora Rose, for making a love story that was deeply moving and nearly had me in tears at some parts, and blushing in others. Looking forward to more!

This was a reread of mine, and for the maybe 11th time reading it I am still in love with this book. Whit & Caleb just warms my heart. This still is my #1 favorite book by Cora.

Wow I loved this I devoured is Caleb is such a sweet golden retriever man and whit is a sweet black cat man and together they are everything perfect and right in the world ???? whit had secrets and he’d been through so much but Caleb fell for him and made him fall for him back and he gave him true love and true family. Whit was there for Caleb during hard time around the anniversary of his mother’s death and he knew just how to care for Caleb. Caleb loved whit and they were the hottest thing together too.

I am unsure what I expected going into this book but some obsessive men was not it. And I am so excited that thrilled to have experienced it. This book was an experience and I am here for it. This was my first book by Cora Rose and I am definitely going to binge the rest of them.
I really liked Caleb's character and his experience with falling for Whit and coming to terms with his sexuality. I also loved his sweet parents and their family- and watching Sem be a stalker is hilarious. He is very original thats for sure.
This book was really well done and I loved the connection between Caleb and Whit- and I felt genuinely upset when they fought. And godddd, when you learn about Whits past and experiences you can't help but love him so much. His character had so many layers, and I when he hurt I hurt. These character really had to overcome a lot to be together and it felt very well deserved.

If this is book 1 in the series, I can't wait to read more.

Captivating

I had Cora Rose on my tbr list for a while now and seeing her attending RARE Paris in 2024 I thought it was about time to finally start reading her.

So Whit was my first book by Cora Rose and I really enjoyed it! It has an easy flow and easy to like characters. However, as we mostly have Caleb's POV he was more "accessible" for me and I wished I had more insights into Whit's thoughts. Yet I think the way the story played out we did get a perfect dose of Whit's POV. I really enjoyed Caleb's ridiculousness, how he baited Whit all the time and how he got Whit come out of his shell.

I wish I could give it more than 4 stars, because the writing style to me was really captivating. But I have some issues that keep me from giving more stars:
1. Character development: we get a good dose of Whit and Caleb together, but even after finishing the book, I have a hard time describing their characters. It feels like we only got to see their surface. And I wished for more depth. More of who they are.
2. Their relationship: Besides their physical attraction and that they basked in the affection of the other, what traits of the other made them fall in love?
3. Their background: both Caleb and Whit's background story fell a little short. I think both pasts played an important part on who they are now. I could have taken some more insights and how it shaped them, how it still influences their present.
4. The end: it felt rushed and cut short. Definitely had potential for more

These are some things I want to mention in this review. Nevertheless Whit is a great book and absolutely worth reading and recommending!
