About this item
I have one job in this arranged marriage, and that’s to seduce my husband.
It should be easy; I’m the heiress to a transatlantic fortune, bred and raised to make a good match. I’ve spent a lifetime building up my endurance, my discipline, my dedication to my god and my church. The danger lies in falling for the devil who put his ring on my finger—a mistake I made years ago, and can’t afford to make again.
There is one more danger: Tristan Thomas, former soldier and my new husband’s bodyguard. A hero who stole my heart with salt-soaked kisses on the sea.
But Lyonesse is not like other places, and this isn’t like other marriages. Soon Tristan, Mark, and I are tangled in a knot of vicious jealousy and gorgeous wickedness, where suspicion is an aphrodisiac, and secrets and vows are one and the same.
And there is something far darker at play than my real purpose, darker even than the twisted longings of my own heart. Because my husband has secrets of his own, and the reason he’ll stop at nothing to possess me could slice my soul deeper than the honeysuckle-hilted knife he gave me once upon a time.
Because when it comes to Mark Trevena and his games, the first cut is more than the deepest—it’s the sweetest. And he always leaves you begging for more…

???? I DEVOURED THIS BOOK! You can call me Mrs. Trevena, bc Mark is my newest book husband. I knew I loved him after Salt Kiss, but dangggg now I’m really, really obsessed. Sierra wrote an absolute banger that was a perfect combination of angsty, twisty, and spicy! I truly don’t know how I’m going to wait until til March to get into my husband’s head. But I suppose good things come to those who wait… I’m looking forward to the pain and pleasure! PS this will be one of my fav books of the year, just like Salt Kiss was last year. Sierra is a goddess.
???? Oh my goodness… this audio experience was TOP NOTCHHH! Oscar and Isabella ARE Mark, Tristan, and Isolde… they have absolutely brought them to life and I was completely enthralled (or maybe in thrall to be honest — been listening to some vampire books lol). The narration was perfection — the emotions so dynamic and intense, I felt like I was a fly on the wall to everything going on with these characters, unfortunately with my little fly eyes covered, damn it. Every single thing was perfect, would change absolutely nothing. I need everyone to stop what they are doing and LISTEN NOW!

4.0 out of 5 stars Riveting
5.0 out of 5 stars These three ????????????
Honey Cut picks up right where we left off in Salt Kiss with Tristan and Isolde returning to New York. It's time for the long awaited wedding and everything that comes after. Everyone is still playing their games and poor, sweet Tristan is caught in the middle.
Goodness, how I've missed Simone's writing. I believe the best word to describe it is enchanting. The words bring these complicated characters to life in ways that arouse, excite, engage, and invest you. The pull between the Mark and Isolde, Isolde and Tristan, and Tristan and Mark - she makes you bleed for them. Mark is as wicked as I had hoped, and poor Tristan's sweet soul is no match for Mark or Isolde. I've never loved a sweet character more than Tristan.
I'd be remiss if I didn't again highlight the perfection that is how she writes a love scene - pure poetry.
The ending, ughhh... why must you make us wait so long???
My only thought would be I wish I would have contained my excitement a bit, and taken the time to re-read the other two before diving back into this world. There were a few details that I was a bit fuzzy on since so many months and so many stories have come and gone since I last spent time with these three. I'll make sure to do that before Bitter Burn is released next year.
Time to nurse my book hangover. So good.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely.
4.0 out of 5 stars Smut was five stars but I could do without the miscommunication
Story: ????????????????
Frequency of Spice: ????????????????
Quality of Spice: ????????????????????
This series sucked me in and I can't wait to read the last book! The smut was spicy and had a D/s focus with kink elements. Most of the smut in the book was M/F until later in the book when we get some M/M and MMF.
I am really enjoying the story in this series and all of the setup from the first 2 books is starting to come together. I found myself saying "one more chapter" more than a few times. The one thing that was starting to annoy me a little by the end of the book was that the characters are constantly unsure how they feel about one another/if the person they love feels the same way- and they don't talk about it, they just worry internally. I understand some of it is due to the characters having a lot of secrets and foggy pasts, and the author wanted to show that it was hard for them to trust each other...but just talk about it already, damn! ????
3.0 out of 5 stars The end was not as expected.. in a bad way
This is the second full length novel in The Lyonesse Trilogy. Isolde and Tristan keep quiet about their affair on the yacht, keeping as much space between them as possible. But their affections don’t go unnoticed. Isolde has secrets of her own. Continuing her work as a Saint, she is asked to do the unthinkable. Will she obey the church or remain loyal to her new master? And what game is Mark playing at?
This book includes a lot of sadism. It was a little triggering for me, so I just thought I should mention it.
Everyone has secret agendas except for baby Tristan. Poor guy just wants to be loved and degraded and ends up in the middle of his lovers’ mess! They also Ignore him and watch him suffer for almost the entire book.
I was so excited for this book, but I was a little disappointed. I wanted a happy ending for everyone (the book ends on a cliffhanger so we may get that happy ending) and to see the heart that Mark has hidden under all that armor. I need some warm fuzzies and this book is giving longing and agony.
‼️Spoilers ahead‼️
I really thought Mark was subtly preparing his lovers for a throuple. The way he pushed Isolde and Tristan together time after time. When he told Tristan his bed is always open for him. Every look he gave Tristan while with Isolde. But no, he victimized himself. No one was allowed to pine after another person except for him.
