The problem is the universe seems determined to thwart Hugh. Between creatures terrorizing his worksite, bothersome Americans, and not having any alone time with Adrien, Hugh's foiled at every turn.     Love the characters and the relationships. The dialogue is fun and of course the dogs are gteat.Love the story which is entertaining and Interesting.
    Have to say, I have different dreams than the author so I skim what I'm not interested in and enjoy the rest.
    Thank you for a fun read.

    A fantastic second installment of this series. Hugh finally breaks through Adrien’s walls and the two are true to themselves and to their inner circle. Adventure in Brazil, a visit to Thailand and more excitement at home. Really enjoying this series.

    I love AJ's books. Huge fan of the Unholy Trifecta series. Both books in this new series are great. I look forward to the next ones.

    The second book did not disappoint at all! The whole gang is back with Adrien, Hugh, Julian, Mac, Darby (my 1st favorite character), Anastasia, Cynric, Captain, George, and Emily (my 2nd favorite character). I love stories involving animals (reason why I like Darby) and children (Julian and Mac). More fun and adventure for everyone. You must read the first book before this one though. By doing that it gives you the whole back story to the forefront. I cannot wait the 3rd book to come out.

    This series is just lovely so far. I adore the characters and how healthy their communication and relationships are, hiccoughs and all. Their adventures are fun, the apprentices are fantastic and conniving in the best ways, and I can't wait for more!!

    I love this world. Very steampunk but completely believable. The characters are well formed, and the storyline flows so well. I do hope there are more coming in this world.

    I love this series!!!

    While the inevitable culmination of Mac and Adrien’s relationship didn’t happen quite how I thought it might it was still satisfying to see these 2 sweet men come together.

    Heat level a 1/5 but let’s be honest, you’re not reading this book for erotic literature. You’re reading it for romance, adventure and magic. Those 3 things are supplied in abundance in this book and I can’t wait for the third book to come out.

    I TRIED to read slowly and savor this book but it was so good I gobbled it up in a little over a day and a half lol.

    I’m so happy that these books exist and can’t wait! For the apprentices to get their own books ::swoon::

    I liked the previous story, but I absolutely loved this one. The story continues with a great adventure in Brazil. The boys find their feet, a budding romance, plenty of action, man eating monsters, a cute puppy and a father disturbing the peace. I can't wait for the best one.
