Rachel inherited an easily-read style from her Dad. I read the book in one sitting. I will now read it again to absorb more of her wisdom.

Super fan of Rachel and Ramsey Solutions. This book really helps you see how your behaviors are influenced by your upbringing even in ways that you were not aware of. Then it takes it further by showing you how those behaviors influence your spending. Rachel writes in an easy to read and conversational style that makes you feel like your just having a talk with a good friend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very practical & relatable advice

I liked this book a lot. Actually, I loved it! It’s very practical & relatable to every person’s unique situation. Everyone should read this book because it’s applicable to anyone. Regardless where you are in life & what your money situation is, you can read this book & apply it’s principles to lead you to an even better life. I recommend following the Baby Steps as well as taking Dave Ramsey’s (Rachel’s dad) class Financial Peace University. All of the resources of Ramsey Solutions are incredible. This book gets 5 stars!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for personal finance newbies, but that's it

First and foremost, while I think Dave Ramsey is pretty off for anything beyond the basics of personal finance, I was interested in this book, so i picked it up. I think Rachel is super spot on with how your experiences growing up and your mindset impacts your money - in turn, using this to better budget and plan.

But this is a book I wish I would have read in my 20s. Now that I'm in my 30s, its all feels pretty basic. Therefore, I would highly recommend this book for anyone starting off on their personal finance journey, regardless of age. However, if you are further along and you already know the basics of personal finance and you know yourself, then I'd pass.
