Bought this as I was tired of hauling out a “box” to hook up to rarely driven classic car when I went to drive it.

This unit is compact, easy to install, and does what it says it does. When you are ready to drive away, just unplug your extension cord and go. Pretty simple install with common tools, no electrical engineering degree necessary!

Unit looks cleanly made and well-built. Other units by same maker allow more options for other applications.

Love the look and feel of this product. Does not look and feel cheap like many of the competitors. Best of all it works very well and is easy to install. Have them on the lawn mowers, tractors and everything else!

does exactly what I need it too. can keep my dual batteries on my 6.7 cummins charged up when it sits for a period of Time. had to extend the lines, but its small and fits in good places and works well!

I have five of the maintainers for a reason- my Battery Tender, Schumacker and HF all died and cost me batteries. These units are solid, reliable and truly plug and play. Hook it up and plug it in. That’s it. I’m running them on my truck, car, tractor, camper and ATV. They are well worth the money.

I got this partially because I need a SLA charger and maintainer but a little bit also because of it restoration function. Some newer charger/maintainers like this also have the ability to apply a pulse that can help break up crystalization inside the battery. While this will not bring an old or damaged battery back to a new state, it does help with things like when a battery is allowed to discharge too far at least once but not significantly damaged otherwise.

I didn't know for sure if it would help with my own car's battery, but decided to try it anyway. It actually did indeed seem to help. Before using this it would only last a few minutes with the radio powered on after the car was shut off before it would shut it down due to low voltage. Now it lasts about 30 minutes. This also translates to holding up much better when sitting over time. This is not magic, so it is very limited in what it is able to do (more serious damage may not even be repairable short of basically rebuilding the battery,) but in cases of one of the more common minor causes of SLA battery capacity loss it does indeed help.

As for the actual charging and maintenance functions, these seem to work quite well. It's only a 2A maximum charge rate (it lowers twice in later stages of the charge process) so not well suited to large batteries such as those of a car except as a maintainer (which needs very little actual current,) but will do in a pinch if you have the time (I believe it listed 60 hours as the time required to 100% fully charge a car battery -- although it will likely crank in much less time than that.) You will probably want one of the larger ones for those. However, it does have the advantage of being able to safely work on practically any SLA battery you can reasonably throw at it -- provided you can spare the time for a larger battery. I am also using this to maintain (and hopefully restore) a much smaller battery and so far it seems to be working just fine.

I'm not clear on the difference between this one and the 2D model. This one also comes with a mount if you would like to more permanently mount it (such as inside your car.) Interestingly they seem to have made the alligator clips that come with it have screw-mounted rings that can be removed for permanent installation at the terminal screws. This way you don't need a separate set of connectors for each as the 2D model did. So this is an option for those who need to do this.

Wired up for my dually under the hood. Have it split between two batteries and it works great. Super easy to use just plug and go. The indicator light is just bright enough to see through the grill at night when lit up. Light weight and pretty cheap for the quality you get. I plan on purchasing one or two more for my boat and other toys that sit for stretches of time.

I have 40 years experience as a mobile electronics installer. Of course I installed it before plugging it in. Who would do this? The battery isn't below 75% charge since I stated it is 100% fully charged. I have another big digital charger that measures percentage of charge, current rate, voltage, and does desulfication if needed. Battery is new high-end AGM. The Noco has been on several days, but I will check it again.

The Noro was flashing green tonight, a good sign, I guess, but the instructions (that it does not come with) state this should be solid at 100%. I connected my digital battery tester (after unplugging the Noco) and it indeed shows GOOD battery, 100% HEALTHY, 100% CHARGED, with CCA exceeding the rating by 33 Amps. I have attached a photo.

I have adjusted my rating accordingly and will see if this works the next time I use the car. I don't drive often, thus the reason I wanted this device.

My battery is a brand-new top-of-the-line AGM and is 100% fully charged, according to my professional digital battery charger. When I connect this Noco 2D, all it does is flash red slowly. It does not turn green unless I start the engine. It is supposed to be green when fully charged, or at least pulsing green when 75% or more.

Once I get a satisfactory solution from Noco, I will adjust the rating.
