This is the BEST helmet communication set up out there!
Reviewed in the United States on June 4, 2024
I'm blown away by how awesome this thing is. Fantastic (and loud!) sound quality, excellent noise cancellation, and simply incredible range. My buddy got one too, and when we ride, we can still communicate clearly even when he's over a 1/2 mile behind me, and at speeds of 70+ miles per hour. The voice commands work flawlessly. After being out riding and talking for over 4 hours, the battery life still stands at 75%, so this will easily get me through a full day of riding. It was simple to install, and the mounting plate (I used the self-adhesive one) is on there STRONG. The magnetic "air" mount is SUPER slick; I love the way it just snaps securely into place. Cardo is the BEST!

Expensive but reliable

Ok, are they worth it yes, are they perfect no, here’s the down low.
I bought these to communicate with my wife who is a new rider and they are worth every penny for that. I’ve only used these with the two that we have and they sync up instantly every time with no issue. Usually get 1/4 to a 1/2 mile range with the all the hills and curves. There’s no delay when she’s back, it’s like she never left, you can’t tell a difference.
As for the commands it’s hit or miss. I found “hey Cardo”works better for me then “hey siri”. If you expect to use all the commands when riding then your setting your self up for disappointment. Set your music up before the ride on Spotify or whatever you want. The intercom will come and go as you talk and just mute the music a bit.
Intercom is clear no issue.
Answers calls with ease, call clarity is great.
I think the whole hey cardo thing is ok , but requires exact clear verbiage of the commands. For some reason my Siri will beep in and then beep again cutting off my command but I have a love hate relationship with Siri long before I connected to the cardo.
It does exactly what I need it to do, talk back and forth with the wife and play music. The speakers are pretty good, not great. Your not going to get top notch quality treble and bass out of a motorcycle helmet. There’s too many variables, like does your helmet fit properly, does it have spots for the speakers, is your helmet quiet.
Do your ears line up with the speakers..
I have a AGV k6 and it’s perfect. Could it be better sound sure, but I can give some of that up for reliability. I don’t need noise cancellation except for when im talking to someone on the phone.
It’s a helmet on a motorcycle being pummeled with wind noise, it’s not going to be spectacular. Plus you still need to hear what’s going on around you.
Buy them you won’t regret it, except maybe a little if your me and they go on sale a week after you buy them for 100$ less on Father’s Day. Oh well.

Love it was a very easy install for my helmet. The radio came in clear and the app was very simple to use. Also calls and the voice assist works clear and easy to where I didn't even have to look at my phone. A must buy!

EXPENSIVE! But full featured
Reviewed in the United States on May 15, 2024
I purchased these to replace my Cardo Freecom 2X set after finding out that the Freecom do not allow true audio multitasking. More specifically, they do NOT allow simultaneous music streaming AND intercom conversations AT the same time. (*Read my review on the Cardo Freecom 2X listing)
So, after more research and reaching out directly to Cardo support, they assured me that the Packtalk Series were the ONLY units that allowed this.
The units arrived last night and I promptly installed them which was pretty straight forward just as the Freecom 2X were.
Okay, so now to the main point...
The GOOD news: These units DO allow simultaneous intercom AND music streaming!
The BAD news: It is extremely convoluted to set this up and make it actually work! :(
These units use a combination of DMC intercom AND Bluetooth music/intercom. The process / steps to set all of this up are POORLY documented and even Cardo's videos contradict themselves. Someone from Cardo really needs to revisit this! Seriously! READ THAT AGAIN CARDO!
After almost 2 hours of trying...resetting...pairing...clearing...resetting again...disconnecting...pairing...you name it... I FINALLY got lucky and was able to get the units to work. I won't go into all that you have to do as it wouldn't do you much good since they ALL seem to be different etc.
What I can tell you is that you have to use a combination of the DMC channels as well as the Bluetooth and then switch BACK to the DMC AFTER getting the Bluetooth paired and working...which in itself is a nightmare. Bluetooth is quirky at best on these units and you will hear "Rider A busy / unavailable" repeatedly. Factory resetting both units will sometimes fix this...but then you have to start ALL OVER AGAIN. What a mess!
So, once I finally WAS able to pair the DMC intercom and then pair the Bluetooth etc. I was able to stream music from my phone and then have a DMC intercom conversation.
Here is another "complaint".
In the audio settings, there are a few options to adjust the sound levels of each type of audio. (music, intercom, phone, gps etc.) I made changes in the app to each of them and saved the changes, but they have NO effect. I tested this by also zeroing out the music just to test, but the music volume was unaffected. I also zeroed out the intercom to test etc. and still the same...no change in audio level. So, you basically are STUCK with the music at the same volume as the intercom. Not ideal, but better than nothing I suppose? But still, for $700+ dollars, this should work.
So what's the final verdict here?
-Well, for the price, they are loaded with features, but most of those features do not work.
-Documentation is all over the place and no two are the same
-Video instructions contradict one another from video to video
-No real helpful support from Cardo
-Audio quality is great!
-The "Hey Cardo" voice activation feature works sporadically
-The volume wheel works great even with gloves
-Once you turn these units off, you have to go through the ENTIRE setup process again! ...and hope that you get lucky enough for them to work! RIDICULOUS!
** I am going to test these over the next few days, but honestly for this price, I will most likely return them if I can't get all of the features to work. Way too expensive to have to go through this much frustration.

The sound is great, bass is good. Definitely a good buy. The magnet is solid and strong, it clips in as well so it's not falling off while riding on your bike. Easy set up and use as well.

I easily paired with my riding buddy and communication was crystal clear. Voice commands to control functionality worked great and even allows “hey siri” direct to your iPhone. My riding buddy has android and his is perfect as well. It even has am/fm radio built in. Highly recommend!

Super easy install. Maybe 15 minutes and I was watching a show while doing it. Battery life is amazing so far. 6 hr ride with music going and mesh group talk and it hasn't gone below 50%.
The only thing I want to see is Amazon Music integration because you can't use cardo commands using it. At least mine doesn't respond.
Range is great. I have been upwards of 1/8 mile ahead of my group and still heard everyone loud and clear without kine of sight..
