5.0 out of 5 stars A great value for a running vest
Reviewed in the United States on November 21, 2023
I tried a few different types of running belts and didn’t like them for multiple reasons, mostly they jostled around on my waist which I hated and they couldn’t hold enough water for my long runs, especially in the summer. I looked into running vests and was intimidated by ones that were over $100 from the reputable running brands. As a new-er runner that was a lot to sink into a product, especially since I didn’t even know if I would like wearing a vest.

I figured I’d give this $20 vest from Amazon a go (and maybe invest in a more expensive one if I liked it). Turns out I LOVE this thing. It is super convenient for long runs; it is lightweight, breathable, very adjustable so no bouncing or chafing, has plenty of storage space, including plenty of pockets (zipped ones for more secure storage and easier access ones too). There is an attached whistle which I’ve never used but like having as a little safety measure. The water bladder it comes with is a nice bonus too, but just make sure you only use water in it - I made the mistake of putting electrolytes once and it’s impossible to clean the little bits of mold in the tube.

I’ve been taking this on all of my long 2+ hour runs and I can hold plenty of water and everything/anything else I need. I’ve had it for 7 months now and it is holding up really well. I’ve even thrown it in the wash with no issues (not sure if it’s supposed to be machine washable). I really have no need or desire for a “nicer” (more expensive) vest, but if anything I would like to purchase the same vest in a different color.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight fast shipping

Received the running vest promptly. It’s super lightweight. The bladder is big enough to hold the amount of water that I use. A lot of storage space for gels, snacks, windbreaker, headlamp and zippered storage for key ID or phone. Plus front pockets are deep enough for additional water flask (not included). Hopefully it holds up. I have 41 inch chest circumference and it is snug doesn’t bounce at all. This may be a problem for people with wide chest. Overall let’s see how it holds up. Will be editing the review in a couple weeks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good bag
Reviewed in the United States on May 30, 2024
I got this bag for long distance running and very happy with it. It’s very comfortable and a good quality. There are also good pockets for keys, phone, gels and extra water.
The only negatives is that the water pouch sits against your back so it does heat up and the side straps are a bit long so they do hit my elbows when running.
However the bag is great overall and would highly recommend.

4.0 out of 5 stars Leaking at connection point (updated)

I received this and it is leaking from the connection point between the hose and the bladder - see video. Replacement is on the way. The vest is pretty small but I was able to adjust it to fit me. I am a big guy at 6’4” and 245lbs but may not work for women with a larger chest as others have mentioned. Lots of pockets/storage and I like how reflective it is for running in the dark. Disappointed about the leak but hopefully the replacement will work.

Update: changing this review to a 4/5. I received a replacement 2 days later and it works great. After getting the replacement, I figured out that the first one was missing a black o-ring on the tube connector fitting so it wasn’t sealed properly causing the leak. Wish I didn’t have to return the original, but it was taken care of quickly so it wasn’t the worst thing in the world.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good vest, but bladder started leaking after less than 10 uses

I bought this vest to gear up for my first ultra. Unfortunately training was cut short, but I've still been using this vest on my long runs. I find the pocket placement to be good, and I'm able to store everything I need, including wallet, keys, and phone (when necessary) without issue. I don't love the soft flasks that came with it, as the protective caps either bounce around or just get in the way. The vest sits comfortably, and I forget it's on once I get going.

My only issue is with the hydration bladder, which started to leak at a seam at the top. It absolutely soaked my back, and created a "sloshing" effect, which is distracting during the run. Replacement bladders aren't expensive, but I was disappointed that this one didn't last very long.

All in all, a good, inexpensive vest, but don't count on the soft flasks or the bladder.

I bought this water pack to train with and use for a full marathon. I was afraid it would be heavy but it’s so lightweight. It feels like it weighs a couple ounces even with a full water pack inside. The pockets are deep enough you can put your keys, headphone case and cell phone in one pocket. In the other pocket which is on the strap I had a protein bar, electrolytes packet, energy gummies, and chapstick. It comes with a chest strap that is adjustable and not bulky at all and a stomach strap. I love the placement of these straps because they really help keep the pack from moving. I like the straps to feel tight and they were tight in all the right places. I am so happy how well this pack worked out. I highly recommend this pack for any kind of training/sport especially for the size, comfort, and price!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Leaking Bladder Pouch In The Back.
Reviewed in the United States on August 21, 2023
My wife and I bought 2 of these vests because we do a lot of long distance running. We had to return one because it was too big for my wife. We adjusted the vest to the minimum possible size for her. It was still too big on her. She is 5'2'' and 100 lbs.

The one that we kept for myself fits fine and works as intended. However, after almost a month of use, the bladder pouch in the back is leaking. I tried not to think too much of it on our last long run (12 plus miles). Maybe it was just the condensation from the cold water. Unfortunately, it was not the condensation but an actual leak. By mile 4 my lower back and shorts were all drenched from the water that leaked out. Half the bladder had leaked on me. We had to stop and dump out the remaining water. I had to finish the rest of my run with wet clothes and limited fluids to drink. This was very unfortunate.

I sent the seller a message and I am waiting to hear back. This review was created on 8/20/2023.
