Mudhole
I've had great success using this prefilter wrap on my K&N intake in my Tacoma. I've ran that intake for years and always take off the filter and wash it after a dusty road trip, but now the wrap protects most of that dust and debris collecting in the filter ribs. I just slide off this sleeve (it has elastic on both openings) and shake it out most times or I rinse it with my hose and let it dry. It's a little finicky putting it on over your filter, but a little common sense goes a long way. I like the blue as it matches my truck color. But most of all, it really does work both for dust AND as a hydrophobic cover. You can see its effectiveness clearly by popping your hood and sprinkling water on this installed sleeve (not while vehicle is running), and you'll see the water just sheet off and stay out of your filter. Nice extra layer of protection for those times when you splash though puddles or mud.
Serviceable in the field with no tools, this is a must-have to protect your K&N intake filter. Double check what model of filter kit you have before buying! They are all slightly different, and these wraps are built to fit specific models.
