Being 6’3” I find that this handle sits too low for it to be helpful to me. But that’s because the door jam on my Pacifica is too low to help a tall person. The handle itself is very sturdy and would be helpful for a shorter person.

I had a friend who needed a wheelchair and she had this for getting in and out of the car. I had a car that sat low enough for this to be really practical. My friend found this to be good and sturdy and easy to grasp on to. I tried to use it with my 93-year-old mom recently. I now drive an SUV and I have running boards with handles above the windows that my mom can hoist herself up with. The "car cane" isn't as useful under these different circumstances.

I have a mobility disability which has made it difficult for me to easily get out of my car without hanging on to the car door as I get up. This miniature cane-like tool has helped me be able to experience more stability when getting out of my car. I purchased this tool because it was less expensive than many of the others listed on Amazon, but it is of good quality and meets my needs well. I am very happy with this product.

Got this to help my 90 year old dad get in and out of the car easier and boy does it work as advertised. It has enabled him to get out if the car mostly unassisted.

This makes transitions from the wheel chair to the car much more efficient and effortless. Anyone with mobility issues should purchase one of these for themselves or their loved one's.

This tool would be much more useful if the metal part that fits into the door latch had a wedge shape rather than a "step" shape. Because of the step design, it does not fit securely into the latch, so it easily changes positions when it is supposed to be providing secure support.
