5.0 out of 5 stars Great Tire Gauge, Tough to Change the Batteries
Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2022
This is a pretty decent little tire gauge. For the price, it's a great little tire gauge.

    The Good:

    - I'm pretty sure mine is accurate. I've compared it to 3 other gauges and it's within 2 PSI of them. It's also pretty consistent with readings, which is a good thing.
    - There is only one button, which makes it easy to use with gloves on. This is very nice in the winter.
    - The little light throws just enough illumination to find the valve stem in the dark.
    - It can measure in PSI, KPa, Bar, and Kgf/cm2. This came in handy because my spare tire only listed Bars, not PSI for inflation.

    The Bad:

    - It's not the easiest to seal onto the valve stem to get a good reading. You sort of have to press and wiggle.
    - Batteries are difficult to replace. There is no little battery door - you'll have to take the thing apart to see about new batteries. You'll have to take out two screws in the back and pull the plastic shell apart. It takes a CR2032 button cell battery. Not exactly easy, but at least you can change the battery if you need to. Mine is still going strong on the original battery after more than a year.

I like this thing, and I'm sure it'll give me years of usage, as long as I can get it put back together after a battery change.

4.0 out of 5 stars About time... Treat yourself
Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2021
my entire life I've used the pencil style air pushed gauge that allegedly pushes a square edged white plastic stick out in a manner that correlated accurately w real world PSI. It comes out from the chrome cylinder.

I'm not a pro mechanic and always considered thiis ball park measure to be "close enough".

But I keep hearing techs from bike shops repeating similar stories of the unsatisfied recent e-bike buyer that bring the bike back complaining about battery and range. How the real world range is a quarter of what they had stated.

The tech looks the bike over and measures tire air pressure. 12 and 14 psi on front and back of stated spec on sidewalk is says 40psi. Probem solved.

Can mushy tires really introduce THAT much drag and inefficiency? Yep. So can brake pads that drag - they rob your power. Lift a tire off the ground and give it a spin to see if there's any drag.

40 psi is a lot more than I would have thought or inflated them to when I was going by feel - but it makes a huge difference in speed and range I use this to check in before every ride. It also helped me identify a slow leak that c ok I'll have left me stranded. Armed with this knowledge I fed the tire some green slime and it's holding like new. It's easier and more accurate than the manual old school type - for $6 to I wish I had gotten one years agoi. It seems like a splurge and you might think unedessary if you still have the old one somewhere... The one you got for free that says "business name here" and was cheap as dirt and just as accurate. It even has LEDs that help see at night. Just try it for yourself. There's good deals for mulipacks too. Stocking stuffers. A gauge for every glovebox I'm not paid or compensated by the manufacturer hah. I paid for it myself

I tested this with my electric tire inflator and they read the same pressure. It's quick and easy to use too.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's okay for a car, but not for a sports bike.

Nice display with different measuring units. Unfortunately not suitable for a high pressure narrow tire sport bicycles. It does not fit perfectly right away on the valve and before you get a proper measurement too much air escaped. Works well for a car but that's not why I bought it for. Returned.
