    Kit has most everything you need except for double faced tape. It is truly plug and play. I did not use the app for this install. The remote works just fine. I used four of the six under my Can Am Spyder RT ltd that has a low brow light I installed preciously. I "t-tapped" into it for my power source. Everything comes on at startup. Just did a 1000 mile road trip and everything worked as it should. Very pleased with these lights.

    I installed them about a month ago I bought two separate systems to make it not have any shadows under the truck and one of the “brains” fully stopped working. I got in contact with customer support and they was grate to work with I explained the issue and they sent me a whole other set. Best customer service experience I have had with a product.

    I got the 8 pod set and they worked ok. The instructions tell you to test them before you install them, so I did. They are bright, lots of colors, and the wiring harness seems pretty long. Construction appears solid and all the mounting hardware looks good. The keychain remote has a nice solid feel as well, and works good.

    While testing them, I found three issues with them.

    1) When you change the color using the app, the brightness goes to MAX. I looked everywhere, there is no setting to adjust this, it's just the way the app is programmed. The keychain remote has no function to adjust the brightness. Very annoying but not a deal breaker.

    2) The app REQUIRES that you have internet access. I don't use my rock lights in the city, I use them off-road, so this is pretty much a deal breaker. I tested this by going into airplane mode then enable Bluetooth, open the app and click on the lights in the menu, the app reports "unable to connect". Turn off airplane mode, open the app, click on the lights in the menu, presto, it connects.

    3) the app REQUIRES location access on your phone, this is absolutely a deal breaker. Maybe it's just me, but any led rock light app that requires your exact location is a serious security issue. I tested this by denying location access the first time, ( why would it need my location? ) the app was unable to find my lights over Bluetooth after several attempts. Restart the app, this time I allowed access, the app found my lights instantly.

    Bottom line, they work great, if you want max brightness every time you change the color and the manufacturer knowing you exact location.

    read and reread the reviews prior to buying and i must say that these rock lights must be in your eyes to see the vibrant colors.

    The lights are bright and work great. The issue was the install and price. They make you run a ton of cable having to run every light back to the main splitter. If you have a big truck be ready to spend on quite a few extra extension cables. After installing half of the lights I ended up buying splitter cables that allow you to run lights in a series. That helped a bunch and helped me finally finish install. Again, the splitter cables are not cheap. Install took about 6 hours. Longest install ever!

    Ok good and bad things I guess you get what you pay for regarding brightness totally happy but that's the only thing good no instructions but is very straightforward soo no complaints there if you have a truck buy a set or 2 of the extensions i have a 2022 taco and i used on set of extensions for 12 rock lights the app is horrible the remote is useless basically they clame the lights ar water proof and that's a total overstatement the lights aren't sealed once you go over a few puddles and get water inside it will short out that's why there's soo many people here saying that the lights stop working after a few weeks I bought this kit just to see if I like the look of the under glow or not before spending good money on a decent set don't get me wrong if they last I will buy another set only time will tell just to be safe I opened all the lights and sealed them with urethane caulk hopefully I made them truly water proof enough

    The LIGHTS WILL FLASH RED UNTIL YOU DOWNLOAD THE APP! Once the app is on your phone as stated in the directions the remote works and the phone will also control the lights. The connections to each light are not sealed use some electrical grease in each one of the connections all and all the lights are decently built the lights them selves are plastic they come with mounting bolts for them I used 3M tape on mine as they are under my toolbox. Not under a vehicle there is a little brain box that controls everything not a bad kit to be honest just remember they are 50 dollars not 250 dollars for a set of 8! You get what you pay for.
