    I had 2 older cans that needed to be fixed and this kit worked great! Super easy to install! The spout is stiff but bendable and will hold a bend. The included drill bit to allow modification to older cans without a safety vent is a great touch! No leaks so far! Highly recommend!

    Prior to the early 2000s, gas cans (oops, I mean, "Portable Fuel Containers") were cheap, and served their purpose well enough that multiple generations of Americans bought and used them without a second thought. Their last major innovation was the addition of a second opening on the rear that allowed vapor buildup to "pop the cap" and escape if it built up too much pressure, and allowed air to enter the can while pouring.

    Sometime around 2000, some bureaucrat in California thought, "wouldn't it be nifty if gas couldn't evaporate from gas cans and add some meaningless amount of pollution to the atmosphere?" Eventually, their logic infected the EPA, and gas cans nationwide were effectively limited to a single opening. This immediately resulted in two real-world problems:

    * In places like Florida, people would fill a can with gas on a cold (by Florida standards) day... then sometime around May or June, the vapor pressure inside would build up until the can burst open.

    * With no way for air to gracefully enter the can while pouring, gas would "glug" from the can (slowing the pour, and usually causing some to splash out onto the person doing the pouring).

    As bad as the change was, it wasn't good enough. Sometime around 2009, federal regulators ALSO forced gas cans to incorporate nozzles with complicated "child-proof" opening mechanisms that made it all but impossible for a normal adult to simultaneously HOLD a 5-gallon gas can, insert the nozzle into wherever the gas was being poured, and manipulate its release mechanism to allow gas to flow... all without spilling at least 5-10% of it on your own body.

    For years, people "made do" by just removing the "official" nozzle, and pouring gas directly from the can's wide opening into a funnel. Then, thankfully, people finally started to make replacement nozzles and rear caps that solved the problem entirely by restoring us to the pre-2000 status quo of gas cans that actually WORK.

    I recommend this product 100%. It neatly and perfectly solves a problem that shouldn't exist... but does.

    This gas can spout kit seems to offer a lot for the price. With two spouts and four threaded rings included, plus vent caps, the price is reasonable. I tried the spouts on three different can brands. The threaded rings were too small for a Chilton can, but fit on both a Wedco and a Blitz can. I poured gasoline from a Wedco can and there were no leaks at the spout seal. The seal works well but I wish two extra seals were included with the kit. The included drill bit for vent installation looks cheap but should work OK in plastic. Overall, I’m satisfied with this spout kit.

    This kit includes both fine thread and coarse thread collars for the spouts. I have two 5 gallon cans (one for kerosene and one for gasoline), a 3 gallon gas can, and a 2 gallon can I use for mixed gas. It fit all 4 perfectly. These were a great replacement for the government mandated nozzles that everyone hates. The kit also includes vent hole covers so you can drill a vent hole into your can and cover it with a cap. The nozzle caps work great as well. Between the nozzles, the vent caps, and the nozzle caps... I have zero leakage. They're much easier to use than the EPA ones and I spill less fuel.

    I hate the EPA required nozzles that come with all 6 of my gas cans. I have spilled more gas with the updated nozzles than ever before. I was excited to get these and change out all my existing nozzles with them. They all fit well. All six of them sealed to both the cap and the tank. They were similar in length to the existing spigots. No spill and fumes. I am so glad I finally got these, no more spills. (note, I am waiting to mark my 2 diesel cans with something green before I switch the nozzles for good.

    I absolutely hate the safety spouts that now come on all gas/diesel/kerosene cans. You practically need. three hands to hold the valve open, lift the can, and tilt it to pour. I've managed to find simple old style replacement spouts here and there, but was thrilled to see this pack of six so I won't have to think about this for quite a while.

    All of the components are made of sturdy plastic that is equivalent to original equipment. I like that all the components come separately so that you can replace the entire assembly or only the part that is worn. So far these have fit all my can, which are different sizes and different brands.

    I recommend this product.

    Really liked this 2 spout kit. Complete with 2 spouts, 4 retaining rings with 2 sizes of threading, end caps for the spouts, 2 'new' vents for cans that don't have a vent, or replacement caps for those cans that already have vents.
    also the kit comes with an appropriately sized drill for placing a vent hole! The gaskets/washers feel thick and pliable.
