Our original gas cap’s security belt broke. We live in a windy place and I was fed up with the cap blowing away and under the car at the gas station. Crawling on the gas station floor is not high on my list of places I’d like to be.
This replacement was inexpensive so I ordered it thinking it would be easy to install. It was, but I recommend watching a self-help video on YT before starting. Our Honda Pilots clip that holds the belt in was really finicky and the process took a little trial and error.
We received an alert that the gas cap was loose 1 time on the first day. Got out of the car and clicked it tight with extra force and haven’t had the alert again. I think the brand new o-ring needed to soften a bit for a better seal.
Overall a great product that I’d recommend!
