    I ordered two sets of chains for my Ford F250. Tried them out this weekend and they worked great. They were easy to install-took about 25 minutes the first time for all four tires, and will probably take 15-20 minutes next time. Tried them out in about 6-10 inches of snow and had good traction even on some steep spots. I would definitely recommend.

    During the winter, we do a combination of RV camping and snow skiing. Many times, we have to pull the camper through snow/icy covered roads. Also, we are not strangers to using snow chains and cables…so we know what to expect. We ordered this set to use on the rear axle of our Ram 2500 4x4 truck. While we have not used them as intended, yet, they have been dry fit a couple of times. There is a learning curve (as with all things) so that is why we have installed them and then driven about 50 feet and then took them off…then repeat the process. That is how you learn and learning is much easier to do when you’re in your driveway and not crawling around in the snow. I do like the fact that the connecting parts are color coded so you know what goes where. This also helps when it is time to take them off.

    After putting them on, you need to drive slowly for about 100-200 feet, then readjust the tension strap to take the slack out. After that, you’re good to go. I personally, don’t drive over 25 MPH when using chains. Using them on clear (no ice/snow) roads will quickly damage this type of device.
    In case you’re wondering why the rear axle of the truck instead of the front… With towing a trailer, if things get slippery, the weight of the trailer can easily push the rear of the truck sideways (NOT A GOOD THING). Having them on the rear helps to keep things going in the right direction.

    Nice heavy duty set of 2 snow chains. These are said to be thickened and be wear-resistant high carbon steel, and anti slip. For my vehicle they fit just fine and I appreciated that they also came with a set of gloves! Nice touch!
    Just what I needed for our snow capital of the U.S.!! Just remember sometimes these chains have been known to let loose at higher speeds and may possibly damage your vehicle.

    These Coco Bird Heavy-Duty Snow Chains - Durable and Wear-Resistant are perfect for my vehicle. Used the chart and ordered the size they suggested and they fit perfectly for my car. It's a four wheel drive but it is illegal here to not have them in your car during the winter so the carrying bag makes these easy to keep in the back without them getting messy. If I didn't already have something stored under my passenger seat, the bag would fit there too and be even more out of the way.

    I haven't needed to actually use them but I've practiced putting them on and off a few times because no one wants to try and figure that out for the first time when it is super cold out. I like how well the self tightening feature works as that these are sturdy enough I trust them to stay on and actually help my tires grip the road more when needed.

    These snow chains are easy to use and work well. They gave us the traction necessary to drive safely on the slippery snowy road and held up extremely well. It took us about 10 minutes to put the set on. When it was time to take them off, I was done in much less time. The snow chains are what you need to have in your trunk if you are driving in the snowy winter.

    When it was delivered. The storage bag that they were in was ripped and the chains were hanging out of the bag. Have not used them yet.
