5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality, spacious, useful daypack

Excellent quality. Durable. Pockets are spacious, convenient, but not excessive. Bladder works great and is relatively easy to clean and refill. All features are intuitive (pockets, hooks, etc. where I'd put them) and not clunky. Love this pack

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Hiking Bag and for Travel

I brought this for a trip to the desert with girlfriends but used it recently as a carry on item for a flight. Great bag that holds surprising more than what it looks like. I carried a full laptop, tablet, large water bottle, book, and other items easily. The cushioned straps and back make this comfortable to wear as I was chugging through the airport. I brought it in hunter green which is very attractive. Well made and has held up so far!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great bag for a short to medium hike

I like the size of this bag. I like hiking but 5-miles is pretty much my limit. The bag comes with a Camel pack inside which is great to keep one hydrated on a long, hot hike. There is also room for snacks, your cell phone and whatever other accessories you want to bring.

I'm 5'8 and 170 pounds and the straps feel comfortable. It's light weight and a great value for the money.

I'm very happy with this purchase.

4.0 out of 5 stars Small backpack with nice features!

I was looking for a smaller backpack for daytrips. I have a 40L Ecogear Snow Leopard pack that I LOVE but the company is no longer in business. So far I like this pack for the following reasons: 1) lightweight, but roomy. The main compartment is tall enough to hold my knee pad that I carry to yoga class. I can easily stuff my rain jacket and a down jacket or vest inside at the same time. 2) Built-in rain cover - one of the reasons I picked this bag over others of similar size: the rain cover is essential on multi-day hikes/walks to keep your gear dry. 3) 2L bladder - works well and it's nice to have the option of either shoulder to run the hose out of. 4) Comfortable shoulder straps - at first I thought this pack was too big for me (5'-1" tall) but I actually like having the shoulder straps away from my armpits - this means no chafing for long hikes and plenty of room to move my arms (I use trekking poles).
Cons: Although you can use a bladder, sometimes you just need a water bottle! The side pouches are very small and it's difficult to fit wider bottles into them, but since there are no loops to hang trekking poles, I can see using the mesh pouches to hold the poles and running them through the outer straps. It also would be nice if every zipper was set up with two zippers - only the main pouch is set up this way. The hip strap is adequate, as the pack is small, but I would have liked a padded hip strap.
Separately, I use a Boosteady camera bag that I attach to the sternum or hip strap to keep my phone handy for taking photos along the way.
So far I have used the backpack for getting around the city; looking forward to trying it out on longer day hikes and taking it to Japan this coming October for a 7-day walk in Tohoku.

5.0 out of 5 stars Backpack great / Water bladder better
Reviewed in the United States on September 28, 2024
I love the color of this backpack and the many pockets. The water bladder design and straw are just awful. It's difficult to fill if you don't hold it just right because it doesn't open up to allow the water to flow into the bladder. You have to hold it open. It's difficult to get inside to wash it properly because the hole is too small. When I leave it on a rack to dry, I often come back, even days later and realize that water has accumulated on the bottom (top), meaning after I empty it again, it requires a good three more days to dry. The straw has had drops of water in it for almost a week, even after disconnecting the mouthpiece. Speaking of that, it's very difficult to get enough water per sip. It doesn't open enough. On my way back on my last hike, I couldn't get any water out, it felt blocked but I thought it might be empty. It was more than half full. I'm not sure what happened. Spend a little more money and get a good bladder.
UPDATE: The day after I wrote this review, the seller wrote me a very nice note and offered to send me a newer version of the bladder that came with the pack. I was blown away by how kind they were and how honest and prompt. They said I would receive my new bladder by the 6th and I did. I have not tried the new bladder yet but the opening to fill it is larger and there is a cover over the straw so you can protect the part that goes in your mouth. They also suggested that I dry out the inside with a paper towel. I couldn't easily do that before since the opening was so small but I think I can now. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Might save your live
Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2024
I do not normally write reviews and this hydration pack is not sold as safety gear, I don't recommend relying on it as your only piece of gear, but that was my situation last week when this pack saved my life. I went on a ride through town on my ebike to pick up something from the store and made the poor decision to leave my helmet at home only taking some water and the pack to carry my goods. On the way to the store I was going maybe 20Mph and a car opened their door right in front of my bike and with no time to avoid it I hit the car door, went over it cartwheeling through the air to land and slide on rough pavement landing on my backside. The only area of my body not injured is my back, neck, and head that were cushioned in the fall by the full hydration bladder (which is now permanently distended and leaking but well worth the damage). The pack itself took very little damage, with the rip stop external material really proving its durability, being dragged on the street with my body. I would highly recommend this pack to anyone, though would recommend upgrading the stock bladder to one with a larger mouth. Best pack ever!

My son joined the scouts & this bag is such a great bag for the price. It is perfect for all of the hiking and outdoor activities they do.
The bag fits the body well and holds a ton.
