I have no feedback from my daughter. The car stopped stinking. Probably works pretty well. Air flow is not restricted.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does not fully fit a 2022 Honda Pilot
Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2024
Item fit honda accord great as there is no frame in the accord you just slide it into the slot and replace the cover. In the 2022 Pilot with the tray, there are retainers at either end of the tray and even after trimming the filter as it was larger than the tray due to extra material. Even after doing this the filter would not fit in the retaining grooves at either end of the tray. You can drop it in on the inside of those grooves, but doing so allows for a slight airgap and dust and debris can get past this gap.

UPDATE: September 19, 2017 - At the time I ordered these, April 2017, they were selling a 2-pack for the same price as a single filter is being sold for today. So the price isn't as low now as it was when I bought mine. But the filter is still a good one. Just not the great deal anymore.

This is a review of the FRAM CF10134 Fresh Breeze Cabin Air Filter.

I was amazed to discover that WalMart was selling this exact same filter for nearly $16 so I ordered two of them from Amazon and saved a bunch of money.

This was installed into my 2012 Honda CRV. Installation is very easy as my video shows. It will only take you 5 minutes or less to do this and no tools are required.

Here is how to replace the filter in a 2012 Honda CRV.
1-Clear out your glove box.
2-On the right side is a small strut attached to the side of the glove box that you need to detach. Gently press the strut and the bottom edge of it will pop out of the glove box.
3-Gently press in the top front sides of the glove box to disengage it and let it swing down out of the way.
4-Inside you will see a long rectangular panel that has to be removed to access the filter. There are plastic tabs on each end of this cover that are pushed in to allow it to be removed. Do not pull out on these tabs, push in instead. Remove the panel and then simply pull out the old filter.
5-There may be a lot of dirt and debris in the filter so keep it level as you pull it out.
6-It is important to insert the new filter in the proper orientation. Notice the airflow direction arrow printed on the side of the filter and place it in the slot so that the arrow is pointing down. You may notice also notice an arrow on the plastic housing where the air filter will be inserted. Also be sure you install the filter so the folds are going left to right not front to back. Gently guide the filter into place... it may be snug so don't jam it in.
7-Once the filter is in place, snap the cover back into place, put the glove box door back into position and reattach the strut. You're done.

This does not add any fragrance to the car interior but it will filter outside air somewhat because of the combination of baking soda and carbon integrated into the air filter.

You'll need to replace the filter every 15,000 miles at least. If you are in a particularly dusty environment you might want to check it more often. I usually replace mine every 6 months.

If you've never changed your cabin air filter and your car is several years old, you may be shocked at how disgustingly dirty and clogged it could be. You'll notice improved performance with an increased flow of air through your heating/cooling system after changing the filter.

I have no problem with dealer servicing my vehicles. But there are some jobs they do that are just ridiculously overpriced. That job, or those jobs, are changing the cabin filter and the engine filter. For this car, just to change the cabin filter they would charge almost 50 bucks. Watch YouTube videos for both of my vehicles learn to do it myself. And only pay about 15 bucks per filter. Save yourself some money especially on the cabin filter, installing it is very easy.
