Odd headline I know ... why is it that a majour autoparts retailer charges $6 for a single fuse when you can purchase a entire kit for $12 & get 250 !!! Fuses ??? I was trying to troubleshoot a odd issue with my wife's electric bike - turns out the battery pack has two fuses under two small flaps on the back side of the battery. The battery wasn't charging - even though the bike was only 18months old & the battery pack had only been charged approximately 4 times since new ... after several back & forth emails ... the suggestion was to replace a 5amp fuse & try to charge the battery pack - if that didn't work - then replace the 40amp & then try to charge ...
Replaced the 5amp - nuth'en ... replaced the 40amp - nuth'en ... NOT the fault of these fuses ... there the same basic fuses which are available everywhere ... which brings me to this point ... this kit is WELL worth the $12 !!! ... great selection of fuses & there all well made ... not a broken - mis-shapen one in the entire lot ... GREAT value ...
Back to the battery pack issue - turns out the onboard LED display on the actual battery pack is bad ... battery pack is now fully charged according to the on-bike battery health monitor ... pain ... ya ... but glad I don't have to drop $450 for another battery pack for the bike ...
