    Well this definitely worked as described. It came with the fitting I needed for an R410a mini-split system. Took half an hour total to vacuum out the lines, check to make sure it held vacuum, then check for leaks. Saved me hundreds from having to have an HVAC professional do the same thing. The pump is pretty quiet and the manifold gauges and lines honestly feel very high quality. I've seen a lot of really cheap manifold gauges that have garden hose-style shutoff valves, but this has much nicer knobs on the front, which I appreciate.

    The one thing I noticed is that the kit doesn't have an adapter for self-sealing cans of R134a. All cans have been self-sealing for many years now, but this only includes an adapter for the old style that had to be punctured. I do all of my own vehicle maintenance, so if I ever need to add refrigerant, I'll have to separately purchase the correct adapter. It seems a bit strange that this wasn't included, but ultimately it isn't a big deal.

    Kit comes complete as described. Requires some assembly of the hoses and connections. At first the connections come loose after tightening due to new rubber seals. But do tighten and seal. Pump worked good and the gauges worked very well for me. Worth the price for proper diagnosis of your ac system.

    I purchased this vacuum pump because I needed one once. I decided to install a mini split air conditioning system in a craft room that we have at our house. My brother had a mini split system put in his house and it cost him between 3K and 4K but I was able to get the mini split and this required vacuum pump for less than $1,000! This vacuum pump was needed to make sure that the system wasn't leaking before I put the final touches on the installation worked well and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from this company again if needed. Came with everything I needed.

    So the set worked perfect. I have installed, vacuumed and fully set up 5 mini splits now with this package. There is only one reason its not 5 stars. (It should be 4.5 but could only choose 4 or 5).

    The adapters that connect the gauge hose to the mini split are high quality and they do work, but they are no nearly as good as the connectors with the collared nut (free spinning nut like the mini split lines have). These are a solid nut. Why does this matter? Well, at the end of the vacuum and install you have to remove the adapter as quickly as possible to minimize the amount of refrigerant that leaks out. With a collared nut connector this is easy to do, you just spin the nut off. With this connector you either have to quickly remove the hose and then the adapter (2 gas escapes instead of one) or just twist real damn hard on the solid connector(hard enough to twist the hose 3 or 4 complete circles) to get it off....risking a major gas escape. I used the collared connectors that I had to buy separately. If you don't understand what I wrote or the term "collared" connectors escapes you. Dont try to install a mini split.
