The key for this tape is to use it on non-porous material like glass, gloss auto paint (not household wall paint), metal, aluminum etc. Make sure to prep the surface and do a final clean wipe and dry with alcohol before applying the tape. Make sure to apply at recommended temperature range as well. This stuff holds incredibly well if you do your part to prepare the surface for initial adhesion. On my previous cars I've used it for trunk lip spoilers for over 10 years and it holds up to the weather and abuse. never failed or peels. Its my go to tape for such applications. Its not meant to be easy to remove.
I bought the 0.5" width in this listing as there are 2 strips down my spoiler. one strip is .4" and the other is .5" I'm glad they sell many different sizes. This particular width actually comes in 3M retail packaging instead of cut from stock.
