5.0 out of 5 stars Good air gauge

I like this digital inflator gauge. It has a pistol grip which is easy to use. Batteries are included so I used it immediately upon receiving it and everything worked well except for the quick coupler. I had to adjust it to keep from leaking. It did the same thing on each wheel. I read the reviews later and saw where others had the same experience. It was not a show stopper for me, but I think that it should be fixed. Perhaps wrapping the valve stem with the included white tape would help the coupler issue. The digital readout was accurate and the same as another digital gauge. I like the handy bleed valve. One of my tires was over inflated and I was able to press the quick release button to release air to the correct PSI. Very handy. They also included 4 valve stem caps. Nice touch. They provide cover to keep road dirt from the valve stem in case you should lose one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great gauge. Hose could be a little longer and needs a swivel fitting
Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2024
The backlit digital gauge is very easy to see. Trigger works smoothly and air fills the tire at a good pace and predictably. The air release button is a really nice feature and overall it's built pretty well.

Two areas for improvement: A longer hose and a swivel fitting on the hose. The hose that attaches to the valve stem is pretty short and depending where the valve stem is you may have to twist and contort the inflator to attach it. Sometimes, the gauge face winds up facing the tire instead outward towards you, so you have to twist it to read the gauge, putting strain on the hose and fittings.

A swivel fitting on the hose would fix this problem. For those with a dually pickup truck, the hose will likely be too short to reach the inner tire. Also, the clip-on valve chuck is nice to have and frees up a hand instead of having to hold the chuck onto the valve stem. But, if your valve stem happens to be located near a spoke of the wheel, if you have spoke-style wheels, the clip on the chuck may interfere and hit the spoke, meaning you have to twist the chuck around so that the clip doesn't hit the spoke. Then you run into the short hose/needs a swivel problem stated above.

These are minor complaints though. The unit is built well, feels good in the hand, feels like it will last. Would buy again.

4.0 out of 5 stars I want to like it..

but it is not easy. I opted for the backlit digital gauge because of failing eyesight. The “inflator” looks nice and feels solid, but the quality is questionable.

The digital, backlit readout is a nice feature and is easy to read, but it does not rotate. I would prefer to hold the “inflator” like a gun, with the readout facing me, not some contorted angle.

The copy I received reads +1 psi @ 34 psi (is it a linear error?), based on my initial evaluation on 2 car tires. Not bad, but notable.

The 1/4” inlet quick-connect leaked on one female-connect (3-ball lock), but not another (6-ball lock). There is no standard air compressor quick-connect. All brands are not compatible with all other brands... cheaper is worse than better or best.

The brass air chuck is frustrating and not the easiest to use. It is prone to leaking, coming loose and provides a generally poor connection. I searched Amazon for a replacement and found a ‘better” chuck from the same vendor, AstroAI, for half the price of the “inflator’. What a racket! They can fix the flawed chuck they sell... for a price. The BEST “inflator” chuck I listed sells for nearly TWICE the cost of the original AstroAI digital gauge device.

As I said, I want to like this product. I will fool with it a little more before deciding to return and upgrade.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Well, Good Purchase

I was tired of going between my compressor and tire gauge on my vehicles and trailer, so I thought I’d give this a try. The first time used I had to press it against the stem or the air would leak, but the second time it was fine, probably user error, but either way it was fine. Seems to be accurate and makes life much easier. Glad I got it and I’m much more likely to check my pressures now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use, easy to see, works great!

The valve stem end takes a little getting used to with pressing the release while attaching it. But a quick learning curve. Nice that you can use it without the air compressor attached if all you want to do is check the pressure.

Easy to read with and without the backlight during the day. Easy controls to add and release air. I didn't have any leaking out of the box. But it does come with teflon tape if you need to redo the air compressor side if you do have any air leaks at the threads.

Feels well constructed. I don't expect this to handle the abuse of a commercial shop where it would likely be dropped and hit frequently, but it looks like it should last a long time in my home setting.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must have for RV Owners
Reviewed in the United States on August 12, 2024
I recently purchased the AstroAI Digital Tire Pressure Gauge with Inflator for my 2022 Winnebago Outlook RV, and I couldn't be more satisfied. This gauge is a game-changer when it comes to ensuring my tires are in top condition. I check my tire pressure every time I hit the road to ensure safety, no matter the weather, and this tool makes it quick and easy. The 250 PSI capacity, heavy-duty build, and 0.1 display resolution provide precise and reliable readings. The quick connect coupler is a convenient feature, making it a must-have for any RV owner.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very well made

Works great, very fast to fill tires. Very accurate as well. Too big and clunky to just use to check pressure, I'll stick with my little one I keep in my car. Also, does not really lock on to tires value, have to hold on when filling. Still, 5⭐'s as it adds about 1 psi per second. I have a tire with a slow leak and it fills it from 25 psi to 35 in less than 10 seconds. My old inflator took like 30 seconds or longer!

I love this gauge! The other day I noticed my glove box no longer held my basic tire pressure gauge. When I searched, this one came up on Amazon Vine. I ordered this so I could fill my tires with my air compressor at home. Works great!
I cannot vouch for the accuracy, as I do not have a way to accurately measure the actual pressure in the tires, but it looks to be very accurate when a typical tire pressure gauge is used to test the pressure after inflation.
