5.0 out of 5 stars Helped me reset my tire pressure sensor on my Cadillac

After putting in a 9v battery (not included), I was able to quickly reset my tire pressure sensors after rotating my tires. I had tried unsuccessfully to do it without and this was so easy and inexpensive. It worked perfectly on my Cadillac SRX but will try it on all of my vehicles.

However it worked well, once I figure it out.
Put the rubber tip on the tire right below the valve stem. Point it straight at it. Press and release the button took 5-7 seconds a tire, it was quite fast. I would recommend

5.0 out of 5 stars Works well - make sure to put the black transmit cylinder close to the tps, press once
Reviewed in the United States on November 30, 2022
Purchased this to reset sensor positions for my 2018 Chevy Bolt after rotating the tires. A few "tricks" to share:
1. Put the black transmit cylinder (the round part at the top of the device) as close to the tire tps (tire pressure sensor) as possible. The tps is inside the wheel, directly under the valve stem so it's best to hold it with the black part of the device touching just below the valve stem, either next to the edge of the rim or on the tire close to the rim.
2. Press the activation button on the device once, quickly to start. The device will keep transmitting once activated so there's no need to hold the button down.
3. You may need to try a few times if the activation doesn't work the first time. The device will work, but can be a little sensitive to placement.

I was excited to try the reset tool out right when I received it. I plopped a 9V battery in an went outside to reprogram the tps positions. I held the device pretty close to the tire valve but things didn't work. After 5 to 10 minutes, I was resigned to returning the tool. I went and checked YouTube videos for the tool and any online advice, and read the instructions again. Fortunately, I tried again 20 minutes later, really trying to focus on the items I noted above. The operation was completely successful and I had reset all the tires to the correct position in about 3 to 4 minutes. I did have to retry the programming on 1 tire, but all the others registered the first time. I'm glad to leave an excellent review for this low cost, easy to use tool.

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than I'd Hoped w/ NEW, Good Quality 9 volt battery!!!!
Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2024
Worked Perfectly and faster than I expected! I did make the mistake of putting an old battery out of my collection in the junk cabinet in it at first! The low battery feature, and light definitely work! Duh! Put a Good Quality, BRAND New Battery in it, and it will work better than you even thought it would!!!! Here's a tip, for the DIYers like me, who will only use this occasionally as needed, DON'T store the tool with the 9 volt installed. Remove the battery for storage. Hope this was helpful. Cheers, and God Bless. Joel from Texas.

4.0 out of 5 stars It's Inexpensive, It Worked, BUT read the details about my "Oh NO!" moment in my review.
Reviewed in the United States on April 25, 2024
Works but be careful - read full review for my "Oh NO! Stage & the Recovery. Reason I bought it - Right Front and Rear TPMS monitors were reversed I suspect since the last tire change, annoying but not serious, tire store wanted $700 to replace the TPMS monitors and reset the system, figured I'd try this tool.
Using The Tool:- Getting a 2017 Chevy Silverado LTZ into Tire Learning Mode is essential and NOT part of the tools job, and is not as easy as it should be. It took multiple attempts for me. Look online for the multiple suggestions on how to accomplish this. Mine was a combination of Putting the Truck in Park, Setting the Park Break turning the ignition to the Run position and using the Set/Reset button on the steering wheel used for Cruise control while displaying the TPMS information. Eventually "Tire Learning Mode" showed up on the Dash Display, The Left Turn Signal in The Driver Door Mirror Came on Solid and the Truck Horn Beeped Once (I imagine this will vary by vehicle).
Once in learning mode I took the tool pressed it against the Front Left Tire near the Valve stem as shown in their manual, pressed the button reset the F-Left Tire TPMS (Truck Horn Beeped, Yay!), then I tried F-Right - would not work; tried holding the Tool in both positions shown in the manual multiple times, no success. Decided to restart the vehicle and restart the whole process and try again - DISASTER! Now the truck is showing error/warning message Service TPMS, all 4 wheels tire pressures are now blank (dashes instead of numbers) and the tire pressure warning symbol is permanently lit on the Dash). Oh NO!
I Restarted the procedure twice, each time only the Front Left tire TPMS would beep the horn. I was starting to believe that either the Front Right TPMS was defective or the Tool was ineffective. Try Again.
Since the TPMS on board sensor in the Silverado is in the rear left door module (thanks Google), I wound all the windows down to reduce any radio shielding effect to a minimum (no idea if this had any effect.... but).
I started again. Got the truck back in to Learning Mode (attempt 6) - Front Left TPMS beeped easily, Front Right required me to rotate the tool around the Valve/TPMS sensor rather than holding it in the position(s) shown in the manual before it finally connected and the truck horn beeped (Yay), Rear Right required the Same process for the truck to beep (not as difficult as Front Right), Rear Left Connected Quickly and Truck horn beeped twice and SUCCESS all tires now in the correct position and TPMS is working properly.
Conclusion, IT WORKS; but NOT as EASY as advertised. I suspect the tool is a little underpowered and not as sensitive as an expensive one would be but with a little perseverance it got the job done so 4 stars.
PS. The Tire dealership is out of my Life!
