I just got this product yesterday and I put it out immediately. I didn't notice them right away but today I saw little puncture marks on the mat. We have dogs so I'm sure they weren't already there and the dogs caused them but I am disappointed it was so easy for a ten pound dog just walking around on the mat to poke a hole in it after less than 24 hours. I wouldn't necessarily let it deter you from purchasing if you don't have dogs or if the animals won't be around the mat. Just something to keep in mind when considering the product.
