Nice and warm fabric for the baby and easy to use. Best swaddle I’ve found to keep arms in and keep the baby asleep longer.

When creating our baby registry, we included the SwaddleMe. When it came time for the baby shower, we received EIGHT of them, from guests who swore by them. And we like the SwaddleMe just fine. But after we'd had the baby home for a few weeks and were looking into a swaddling product that allowed us to swaddle with the baby's arms out, I discovered the HALO SleepSack. I think I prefer this to the SwaddleMe, for two reasons.

First, as mentioned, you can easily swaddle either arms in or arms out with the SleepSack. You just wrap the wings over the baby's arms or under, depending on what your preference is. We pretty much exclusively swaddle arms-in, but we like having the option. Second, to do a late-night diaper change, you have to take the baby all the way out of the SwaddleMe. With the SleepSack, however, all you need to do is un-velcro the wings and unzip the front. I typically leave it unzipped but on the baby during late-night feedings, as it makes the re-swaddling process a bit easier... and at 3:00am, I'm thrilled to shave a few seconds and a degree of difficulty off the process.

Finally, our baby was born in the midst of an unusually cold winter, and we live in a drafty apartment, so we were worried about making sure she was warm enough at night. The micro-fleece is great. After experimenting with a variety of approaches, we dress the baby in a long-sleeved kimono-style shirt, diaper, and the SleepSack Swaddle, which makes for a toasty baby and easy nighttime diaper changes.

My daughter was born a little over a month ago and they use these in the hospital. They also gave us one to take home and she loved it. She would cry a lot if she wasn't snuggled up in this. We tried to use a blanket, but it wasn't as secure for her and she would still fuss. One just wasn't enough as we had to constantly wash it and then she didn't have it while it was washing, so I decided to buy her another one. She is getting bigger now but still loves it. She mainly just uses this at night, but it helps her sleep through the night. One night, one was dirty and she threw up on the other, so we had to put her to bed without one while they washed. She slept horrible! She constantly woke up and fussed. As soon as they were dry, I put one on her and she fell asleep within a few minutes and slept until it was time for her to have another bottle. These are miracle workers! One of these is not enough, but they are a bit expensive, especially on top of everything else you need for a baby. I recommend putting a few of these on your baby registry so you are prepared!
This product is extremely easy to use. The only minor issue is that the velcro is a bit loud and may wake the baby at night during diaper changes. You can get around that when they are born by not undoing the velcro and just unzipping the bottom, but that doesn't work as they get older.
The only other issue I have now is that it is getting warmer out and she gets too hot in this. As I stated before, blankets aren't good enough for her partly because I a terrible at wrapping her with them! So while this product is perfect for colder days, it is not so great for warmer weather. You can put them in in and leave their arms out, but my daughter doesn't like that as much.

I have been using HALO sleep sacks with my first baby for 2 years and now bought this one for my newborn. It keeps her warm while she's sleeping and it keeps her swaddled nicely. The Velcro is kinda loud but i usually don't undo it unless she's waking up. I love that it has 2 zippers. Would definitely recommend.

We loved that this was so easy to put our baby in at night. It made late-night diaper changes so much easier for us. This also helped our baby sleep better. Our babe wasn't flailing as much since we could tuck the arms in. They do love sleeping with arms by their face which you can position in that way too. Would recommend to other new mamas who struggle with keeping their babes swaddled at night like us..

This is the only swaddle that my baby likes. I tried a few other brands before finding the Halo brand and it’s the best. The fit is oversized to give her enough room but not too much to where she doesn’t feel comforted. It washes well and holds its appearance. I love that it’s fleece too because it helps keep her warm at night.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cozy but a little bulky
Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2021
My husband and I really like these sleep sacks for the most part. They’re easy to use, and the Velcro is very sticky and highly adjustable, unlike some other brands. They’re good quality, and I love that some of them zip from the top and the bottom. I said some of them, because we do have three colors, and the mint green is the only one that doesn’t have a bulky tab at the top, by the neck area. Our baby is a preemie, and I am very paranoid about anything pushing on his neck. The blue and ivory both have the bulky neck tab, which we don’t love.
Also, the fleece is very hot. We are realizing that the best course of action is to put the baby in a onesie with sleeves, but have nothing on his legs under the sleep sack. Otherwise, sometimes the back of his neck gets sweaty.
Ideally these would be a little lighter weight for bundling, and would have less bulk at the neck/throat area. Otherwise, very easy to use, and the baby seems cozy in them.
