    I have two of these one for each of my boys. And I also just gifted one for my niece. They are simple and beautifully designed. My only wish as a boy mom was they had more designs for boys. But aside from that I love this book I purchased others when I first became pregnant and they just had so much to input I didn’t know what to write. This one is so cute and simple and everything i ever wanted in a baby book it goes a from newborn n to first day of school also has some blank pages so you can input extras if you want too

    Adorable and simple baby book. We bought a girly version for our daughter and loved it so much that we came back for the bear version for our son. Quality cover and pages, plenty of room for pictures, and writing. Definitely not an overwhelming baby book.

    This baby book is so cute and easy to fill out! I got the little camper one, and I love the design and how it's mostly fill-in-the-blank. There's still room for creativity, but also looks good if you don't feel like doing anything more than filling the blanks and adding pictures. But... The family tree makes no sense. I understand it is supposed to be flexible for complicated family trees, but no matter how I looked at it, I couldn't make it work for my family. I ended up gluing paper and string and making my own version over the top of what is in the book. I added a photo (redacted for privacy) so you can get an idea if you want to try that too. I still recommend the book, but you may need to think outside the box for the family tree.

    The Lucy Darling Little Animal Memory Book is absolutely delightful! The adorable animal designs and thoughtful prompts make it so easy to document my child’s first five years.     We bought this for my son's first birthday. We wanted to have it out for everyone to look through and it goes PERFECTLY with the 'ONE Happy Camper' theme! So cute and the pages are high quality!

    This is a great baby book if you are looking for something simple (just as advertised, "A Simple Book of Firsts"!) that will not overwhelm you with pages and pages of personal information to fill in about how you are feeling about being pregnant or how you and your partner met, etc. I knew if got a book like that, I would never fill it in. All I wanted was something simple where I could paste in pictures of the baby each month along with some little memories. This book absolutely fits the bill. It also has spots for the baby's "firsts" (first bath, first smile, etc) as well as their first holidays and then after they turn 1, pages for each of their first 5 birthdays. The design is cute and modern but not not garish. All great right?

    Here are my issues, and ultimately why I will not be buying one of these books for my second baby:
    - The photo sizes needed are weird. Mostly 4x4 and 3x3. These are not standard photo sizes so it can be difficult to get these printed. Also with square photos you sometimes have to trim them awkwardly. Standard photo sizes (3x5, 4x6, etc) would be better.
    - While I loved that the memories to fill in each month were short and sweet, the little squares to fill them in are TINY. And sometimes that was fine, if your response was something short, but in the instance you had a little more to say, there was no where near enough room. I had to write super tiny in all the boxes and now it is a bit hard to read. Maybe if they would have left off the drawings of the animals on these pages there would have been more room for writing space.
    - I would have liked there to be an envelope or pouch or something to add additional mementos, ultrasounds, cards, etc. This is not a total deal breaker, you can paste in your own.

    If these issues would not bother you, its a great book. Unfortunately I am looking for something a bit different for my second baby's book.

    My mother in law got us the animal version of this baby book when I got pregnant with my daughter and we loved it. When I got pregnant with baby #2, she gifted me a really elaborate ridiculous 1000 page monstrosity (ok maybe it wasn't 1000 pages but it felt like it)...so I bought this outer space one for myself to use instead. These baby books strike the perfect balance of capturing enough moments but not being way too much work. For the lady who said this book is too much work compared to the ones that print the whole book for you...we just order photo stickers and stick them in, it's not bad at all! Also love the free space in the back for extra pics and mementos. If you are about to get this book, I would recommend that you note which holidays and firsts are in there so you don't forget to snap a pic on those days - take the pic with your camera in square mode if possible and that makes it even easier to get a great result. Definitely love these books and really hope our kids will appreciate them as much as we do (and if they don't then I guess I'll just hold on to them).

    This little beach/ocean themed book is so adorable. It has so many pages and guides to help you fill it out. So many areas to add pictures and subtext. I love it and I think my baby will love it when she's older!
