I’m a stretch mark prone person. Got them with puberty & big growth spurts. I gained 30-35 lbs. Not one stretch mark with this stuff and bio oil! I purchased 3 & started at the beginning of pregnancy. This is me at 40 weeks pregnant! I applied this every night. It smelled so good and a little went a long way. It was absorbent and soothing. I felt like it is pricey but worth it because stretch marks were what I was scared about the most with pregnancy!

I am super hypoallergenic and I haven’t had any reaction to this at all. The smell is not overwhelming and it goes very nicely into your skin. I haven’t noticed any stretch marks so far but if I do after the baby, I will update. It’s not sticky it goes on like normal lotion and soothes. I also had bought another tummy butter by spoiled momma, that was about twice the price of this ($75+shipping) and I think this was a much better deal to be honest.

I waited until the end of my pregnancy + 3 months postpartum to review this product that I diligently spread on my stomach multiple times a day every day. I probably ended up spending about $300 on it over the course of my pregnancy but it was worth it. Smells like essential oils but like creamsicle at the same time. I also want to add I am not some stretch mark free person, I have them from the course my life took on my butt and sides of hips so I’ve definitely got the stretch mark gene as well.

I want to give 5 stars but the new formula drops it to 4 stars. I've used this product for both pregnancies, in 2020 and again this year currently at six months along. I've LOVED using this product and didn't have any issues until recently. I subscribed to receive two creams every two months. I noticed a change in the formula of my last shipment from February 2024, which I just started using this month. The appearance, color, texture, and especially the SMELL are different. The sweet apricot aroma has been replaced with an attempt at a lavender scent but failed horribly! It smells like nasty plastic or rubber, which is enough to make me consider switching products. I've reached out to Trilastin customer support through their chatbot and email but have not received a response for over a week now. I've BEGGED them to return to the original formula.

Aside from the nasty new smell, this product has been generally positive for me. I had no stretch marks during my first pregnancy and none so far in my current one. While I can't say definitively that it's due to the product, I've read that stretch marks can be hereditary. If your mother had them, you're more likely to have them. Unfortunately, my mother passed away when I was young, so I don't know if she had stretch marks and I don't have any sisters to gather additional information. I've recommended the product to two friends who still developed stretch marks during their pregnancies. One friend was pregnant for the first time, and the other was on her second pregnancy. You'll find hundreds of reviews with varied results here. While I can't claim that this cream is THE miracle solution, in my experience, it has effectively prevented stretch marks in my case. With that, I am considering a new cream because I just cant bare the new smell.

Update: still no belly stretch marks at 38 weeks! I did have one red spot develop on my waist/hip towards my back where I wasn’t focusing the product, so I’ve started applying it further around my hips. I’ve also had almost no itching my whole pregnancy which is amazing! I’m going to continue to use this postpartum to help as my belly goes back down, but I feel totally optimistic as my skin feels hydrated and healthy. I applied this daily, sometimes twice if I felt an itchy spot, and plan to start applying twice daily here in my last couple of weeks of pregnancy. I think I ended up needing about 5 tubs from week 16 on. So happy with this product. :)

I’m very prone to stretch marks and wanted to be proactive about prevention to at least keep them from being severe if I could help it. I’ve been using it once a day and have not developed a single stretch mark on my belly or experienced the itchiness that lots of people begin to in their second trimester! I missed two days in a row and started to feel skin discomfort which further solidified my trust that this works. I think it has even softened the look of my existing breast stretch marks over the last 10 weeks. I’ll be continuing to use this through my pregnancy!

Texture is a thick creamy lotion, smell is of slightly orange scent. This jug only lasted me 2 weeks,not sure if that’s long enough to notice results! I also like the way it feels on the skin but it’s a bit too pricey, I wouldn’t purchase this again.

I had twins and got heavier than I've ever been. I used three or four 4oz tubs of this in my 2nd and 3rd trimester and never got stretch marks! It really worked for me. I know I'm capable of getting stretch marks because I got them on my lower abdomen as a teenager during puberty. But not during my pregnancy and with using this and also Bio Oil. I used both.
