The built-in toddler seat is genius - no more separate potties cluttering the bathroom. It's sturdy, easy to clean, and the slow-close feature prevents pinched fingers. Our toddler feels grown-up using the "big toilet," which has boosted confidence.

Only downside: the child seat could be a bit more secure when flipping it up and down. Still, it's a huge convenience for parents and a great transition tool for kids. Definitely recommend for families in the potty training phase!

This is a review for the NextStep2 Toilet Seat with Built-In Potty Training Seat, with Whisper Close Technology, for ROUND toilets, in standard White color

I purchased this item to better accommodate both my toddler daughter, and the adults living in the house. My goal was to have a permanent potty training fixture instead of other unstable, temporary options (such as seat toppers, or booster seats).

I love this item as it features a ready to use innovative built-in potty seat that is ideal for households with adults trying to survive during our toddler eras. From automatic magnet catch when completely closed, to quick changes from training seat to regular seat, to soft closes perfect during nap times.. this seat takes care of it all.

Just as important, is that the innovation engineered into this seat is still basic enough for a toddler to change the seat configuration for their use purposes without adult assistance. My 2-(but-almost-3)-year-old was able to quickly grasp the concept of the two separate seat sizes, identify if the current seat size is correct, and independently act to change seats if needed.

For fitment purposes, the seat can be adjusted front to back up to 1/2 inch for a perfect, flush fit with your toilet bowl and is easy to remove for cleaning and replacement with Easy Clean hinges. If installed per their instructions, it does not shift around and stays firmly attached to the bowl. This seat is proudly made in Wisconsin, USA and fits all manufacturers' round bowls in the US and Canada.

This product met all of my criteria for a potty training device. I have converted all of the toilets in my house to have this seat. I would highly recommend this product to any household looking for a multi-functional toilet seat that is a permanent, sturdy, well-constructed, and easy-to-use toilet training option for toddlers.

Installed this for my grandson's potty training. Installation was easy and we really liked the magnetic piece for when the little one wasn't visiting. The child insert piece did pop off from time to time which bothered me at first, but it went back easily too & our grandson out grew the need for the insert fairly quickly. We will continue to use the seat without the insert until the next grandbaby is ready. It is sturdier than my other seats and does not slip around eliminating any pinching potential.
