Full disclosure, I have only used this as a stand alone potty, I have not tried the squashed spider looking “put over adult toilet seat” yet.

Initially I got this for my recently potty trained 2 year old since we had a long road trip coming up. But it has really shown its worth when we’re stuck in traffic on the way home from daycare and she suddenly realizes “I need to go potty!!!” Instead of risking public bathrooms or hoping she can hold it, we pop into the closest parking lot, assemble the travel potty in less than a minute and we’re good to go!

The quality is good enough for something that is going to be peed and pooped in, is easy to take apart and clean. Its stable and fits well on my backseat without tipping or collapsing.

Oh, and for all the people complaining the liners are too small, they’re not. They dont go over the seat they go over the collapsible reservoir/bin. You have to lift the seat, pop the bin out, wrap the liner, lock the bin back in place and put the seat back on. Cumbersome yes, and I’d never make a kid wait while I did it, but if you make it a habit that you prep the potty immediately after use, its not that bad.

We have use this quite a few times and it has been amazing. It never fails that my kids go potty before we leave but as soon as they start playing at the park, they have to go to the restroom. Now they’re able to do it without us having to leave the park and come back! It’s a super quick set up and it folds up nicely for storage. The bags are super durable and the seat itself is sturdy. The only reason I give it for stars is because my girls have long legs and it’s awkward because it is a lot lower to the ground.

Our preschooler was stubborn with potty training, but we never pushed him. We were almost fully potty trained before our second baby came this past summer, but then she was in the NICU and the chaos of life got us way off schedule. He then didn't want to go on the potty at all, and right before his birthday, we did 2 days undies/nakey only and it was SO much easier. It took about 1.5 days and no accidents since....until one day we were at the park and they locked the bathrooms. It is definitely a challenge when potty training kiddos to be traveling in the car, going to parks or outdoor places that don't have bathrooms or even indoor ones that don't have kid sized ones, etc. so I ordered this. I love how it folds up and is compact so I can just leave it in my trunk, but most importantly, I love how it comes with bags which make my life SO MUCH EASIER to clean up. Because a normal potty training potty you have to wash everything out with, and when you're in the car and everything moves around easily........ not ideal. The one downfall is that sometimes when it's elevated/extended, it scoots down a bit. However, I will not deduct a star from this for that as it doesn't happen all the time and is still able to be used efficiently. Really is super nice to have in the car for emergencies and if you have young kiddos learning. I have a VERY tall and solid weight (99%ile in both) kiddo and it works beautifully for him.

Excellent for furring potty training or having a little girl in general. Public restrooms are absolutely not an option so having this in my car and being so easy to use, comes with the bags and collapsing is just a win win win
