Okay…I’m a seasoned mom. I’ve owned a lot of baby gear by a lot of different brands, including several strollers. But this…this takes the cake. I’m a “best bang for your buck” kind of gal. So I tend to like the mid-priced stuff because you get the most value for your money. But this last baby of mine isn’t happy on walks unless she’s facing me. So despite having a wonderful all-terrain forward facing stroller & other lightweight options, I spent months researching a stroller that would fit 90%+ of our needs & make my baby happy. I kept coming back to this UppaBaby Cruz V2 because 1) I didn’t need a double, 2) I wanted something that was easy to push one-handed, 3) I wanted a large basket for shopping and outings, and 4) I needed it to handle our bumpy neighborhood sidewalks and park while 5) being easy enough to transfer in and out of a car.

I’m not joking when I say I spent HOURS reading/watching reviews and even test driving strollers in person. And again, it all kept coming back to the UppaBaby Cruz V2. Others might have been nice, but either their baskets were too small, or they were greatly overpriced, or in the case of one brand, you had to take the seat off to fold it down nicely.

So I finally ordered this one. And let me tell you, it is AMAZING. I am super critical of a lot of stuff, especially “luxury” branded items. Because again, “best bang for your buck” kind of gal. But this stroller has been completely effortless in every sense of the word from the moment I assembled it (super easy) to making any adjustments. There’s no fighting with this thing. You want to push it? It moves. You want to adjust the seat? Done. You want to adjust the handlebar? So simple. Everything glides and clicks into place with absolutely minimal effort, hence the title of my review.

Is it worth the price tag? IDK. The critical part of me says it’s still priced too high. BUT, it’s a phenomenal stroller. And I’m not sure you’d find something less expensive that would perform as well and offer as much as this one.

That being said, I do have some criticisms, which are entirely based on personal preferences and why I didn’t knock any stars off my rating. 1) The handlebar. I don’t love it. Yeah, it’s beautiful and easy to adjust, but I prefer pivoting handlebars like on the Chicco strollers that rotate up and down versus something more fixed like this one that slides in and out. 2) I don’t love that you can’t fold this while the seat is parent-facing. 3) The tires look cheap. For the record, they aren’t, or at least don’t perform like they are. But they look like cheap plastic and as beautiful as the stroller is otherwise, I don’t love that.

Overall though, this stroller is fantastic. Despite it not necessarily being “all-terrain”, it handles beautifully, has enough storage for just about anything you’d need, and it’s pretty! But most importantly my baby loves it, so I do too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Obsessed With This Stroller!
Reviewed in the United States on July 17, 2024
I purchased this stroller in February 2023 and I'm still as obsessed with it. This stroller is an absolute workhorse. It's made of quality materials, pushes so smoothly, and folds very compact. I specifically opted for the color way "Noa" because it's PFA free, but am so in love with this color. It's a rich navy blue with brown leather that is very appealing and I'm so happy to have chosen this color. It's not as heavy as other full size strollers, and is not too much of a hassle for me to lift in and out of my car. The basket on this thing is huge and can hold up to 30lbs. My 25lb daughter loves to climb in it to test that out often. We've used it to haul a weeks worth of groceries. This was so easy to use as a travel system, and just as easy now. I've contemplated downsizing to a compact stroller, but can't part with our Cruz. I can't recommend Uppababy enough based on their products, but their customer service is insane! Any issue I've had they've rectified without complaint and very quickly.

Pros: Easy to use, aesthetically pleasing, pushes like a dream, folds compact, extendable canopy, 3 year warranty (when you register immediately), and large basket.

Cons: can be bulky and can take up a lot of trunk space (as to be expected from a full size stroller)

5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money!

I love my cruz! I went back and fourth between the vista and the Cruz for a while before I made my decision and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. There are not that many differences between the two as far as look and quality. It is easy to fold and unfold and the ride is very smooth. I love that I can still push it with one hand. The basket underneath is so spacious. Does take up a lot of space in the trunk if your trunk is on the smaller side. It doesn’t come with a cup holder but there are accessories you can add to it if you want one.

Absolutely love this stroller. I don’t have one bad thing to say about it. It’s super smooth and nice quality. I love the big basket underneath. I like that you can move the seat to make it so where baby can face you or face outward. The seat is super easy to take on and off. It’s lightweight and sturdy. I don’t have any trouble getting it in and out of my car. The handle can adjust for a taller person which is nice for my husband. Beautiful colors. Literally perfect!

5.0 out of 5 stars Soooooo nice

We love everything about the stroller minus it being a little hard to break down. It definitely is a two hand job and I imagine it would be tough to lug around in a smaller vehicle. HOWEVER, the smoothness of the ride, durability, and wonderful quality of the stroller way outweigh the one slight inconvenience I could say of the breakdown. We love this stroller and so does our little guy!

So glad I got this stroller, it is so easy to set up and I love all the cool features it has. It has a really beautiful look to it and I love that it is not too bulky or heavy. It is easy to fold and it performs smoothly. The extended canopy and bottom storage is my absolute favorite part of stroller. There is just so much to love about this stroller. Highly recommend this stroller it’s worth the price.

Worth every penny. Absolutely stunning and the quality is there. Better to spend a bit more on an Uppababy vs other competitors. Definitely helps knowing our baby will be in the best stroller on the market.

Love this stroller!! Easy to fold, stylish, smooth ride, love that it’s compatible with the car seat and bassinet. Only thing is I wish they came with cup holders but we wound up just buying some off of Amazon!
