We wanted something that allowed more movement for baby for a margin of safety in case baby starts to roll back to front, but baby still has an active startle reflex and abandoning those tight fitting swaddles was an intimidating idea for loss of family sleep. This is it, baby can move arms, but does not startle. We tested without swaddle and other solutions and this is the only thing that I saw that allowed movement and prevented wake up after a startle. I was nervous buying this because of reviews of bad material quality, but manufacturing must have been improved because this is the second one I bought and both survived washes on delicate cycle without any damage and there is no pealing of pattens. I was worried about the neck hole being too small, but at least for our baby, who is average weight and above average height, there is no issue with comfort or airway restriction. The material, including around the neck, is plenty stretchy even if you don’t place baby perfectly in the swaddle, by our baby has not yet managed to work hands and arms through the neck hole when awake. I’m a very happy customer. This is well worth the money to me.

Not too hot or too cold. When I put on her little bat suit she knows it’s bed time and starts yawning. She is able to roll and still suck on her hand but isn’t distracted by her fingers like she is during the day. Wish it was cheaper though because I need another lol

Since we live in a hot climate, we needed something very breathable for nighttime. Our baby will be a year soon, and she likes to use her hands, so I cut little holes and it was a huge improvement! I love the designs that you can choose from and how easy it is to wash. it isn’t a luxury fabric or anything, but I prefer that since it could be Peed on at any moment

We bought this once our baby started rolling. His daycare no longer allowed swaddling for safety and he was not taking quality naps using sleeveless sleep sacks. He loves this and it has helped him take great naps! He’s able to roll, sleep on his stomach, and use his arms to push up if needed. It is easy to get him in and out of it and its light weight material allows us to layer if needed depending on the temperature.

I purchased this because my 3 month old started doing the baby crunch while laying on her back and constantly rolling to her side. My girl is a REALLY active sleeper and the only thing that helped her not wake herself up from thrashing around in her bassinet was her swaddle. The zipadeezip kind of helps a bit, but not a ton. It keeps her from hitting her face and waking all the way up. But I have to hurry and pop her pacifier in her mouth or eventually she will wake herself up. I do like that it allows her to move her arms more freely, but not all the way free lol. However, you cannot get this effect without a “belly band” to make the arms more snug. The belly band is also the only way to stop the fabric from bunching around your baby’s face. I DID NOT purchase the zipadeezip brand belly band (reviews seemed iffy). I use the Nanit breathing band & it does the job well. The fabric of the sleep sack is cheap and started pilling after one wash (in a mesh garment bag, because I saw other reviews saying this and thought the garment bag might prevent it. It did NOT). Also, the one way zip is annoying for middle of the night changes, but not a deal breaker. Overall, glad I did not purchase two of these. When my baby’s active sleep calms down I will be purchasing a Woolino sleep sack and probably toss this thing.

We are 3 days in from transitioning cold turkey from the “love to dream” swaddle to this. First use was a whole night’s sleep and we saw no disturbances in sleep. We use the Nanit breathing band instead of the advertised belly band to keep the fabric from bunching at the face and it works great. Will order a few to have for washing rotations. I’d say definitely worth the cost. We’ll see how it washes.

Note: we tried the Halo transition sleep sack as well and did not work as well as this for transitioning from swaddle to free range motion sleeping.

Keeps hands warm at night. Lots of room to grow. The fabric can get pilley over time. If you get the fleece ones that dosent seem to happen but they are not as streatchy/ or seem to run a bit smaller
