Honestly I thought this chair was going to be something that we used once and never looked at again. I was so wrong. I love this chair and use it all the time, literally everywhere. I use it inside, outside, in the living room, on the front porch, at the park, at the beach - you name it! I even had it outside while I was pulling weeds in the front garden bed.
It is so lightweight and portable, even if you don't let all the air out and collapse it. The chair has a built in pump. They say it takes 2 minutes to pump the chair up but it took me 5 - it is tedious work! You can also use an air pump for a blowup mattress and have it inflated in like 5 seconds. It has been holding its air well.
The chair is a bit scooped out in the bottom which cradles baby's butt and makes it a little difficult to get out of. I like that about the chair now as my son is only 7 months and I'd rather it not be easy for him to get out of the chair. I would presume that as he grows and gets taller and stronger he'll be able to get out of the chair himself. He is able to lean over the side of the chair and so far I haven't had any concerns about it tipping over and putting him on his face (although I watch this carefully because it's a very likely possibility!)
I'm not sure how suitable the chair is for as young as 3 months but I suppose it would work at any age when baby can hold their own head up. The back and arm rests are supportive and my little one likes to lean on them. He also uses the air pump column as a fun little thing to wrap his legs around.
