This is a great product to recover your nails after getting gel or if you have very fragile nails!
I saw it on an instagram video and decided to give it a try, it works amazing, I noticed the difference after the first time I applied it

Decided to try this after reading reviews. I needed a base and top coat that didn’t dry my nails out. They were so dry and brittle after years of polish and acetone removers. I love the wider brush with both the Essie base and top coat. It’s so much easier to apply over using traditional skinny brushes. They both dried rather quickly and I’m hoping they make my polish stay on longer before chipping. I’ll have to update after I see how that goes but I’m impressed so far.

I recently purchased both Essie and OPI nail polishes and found significant differences between them. The Essie polish, particularly in sheer pink, genuinely stands out for its visibility and effectiveness. In contrast, the OPI polish was disappointing, and I now only use it as a top coat. The Essie polish has become my product of choice, especially since I often have issues with nail breakage. Its protective coating is beneficial for my nails. Additionally, I don’t prioritize frequent nail polish application, so the quick-drying feature of the Essie polish is ideal for my on-the-go lifestyle. Another notable advantage is its affordability, being almost half the price of OPI, making it a perfect choice for me.

I have been using this base coat for awhile now and I've come to the conclusion that it is pretty average. I usually like Essie products and this is by no means a bad product, just not anything special.

It goes on easy, dries quickly, and no streaking. It smooths a small amount but not as much as I had hoped. It doesn't help my polish last any longer but it doesn't cause early flaking/peeling.

Overall it is a decent base coat but if you want to make your polish last longer or need to even out your nails/ridges, you may want to try something else. If you need just an easy quick, no frills base coat then give it a try.

Since all the reviews were for other products, I felt it would be important to see a review on the Smooth-E base coat. I actually just wear this as polish and love how effective it is. My nails have been ridged forever and this product, with a few coats, works great. The color is very natural and it’s almost matte so there’s no shine. My nails can’t be polished at work but this base coat works great to protect my nails and keep them looking neat. I did notice that if I use a lot of hand sanitizer, the polish starts to feel gummy. Not sure why. It’s not permanent

Like how easy it is to put on the cuticles. I can control easily how much oil gets dispensed. Also smells nice and not too strong. I've been using for a few weeks and it seems like my cuticles aren't as rough anymore so hopefully with more continued use I'll see more improvement.

Long lasting, nope!
I need to preface this review by stating that I never had a good experience with a topcoat that is fast drying. I also have very 'bendy' nails - no amount of vitamins help. Seche lasts about two days for me before peeling/coming straight off without little to no help from myself. My nail polish chipped within two days after applying the Essie Good to Go topcoat. I even used gloves to wash dishes with! On the third day, one nails' polish completely peeled right off in the shower, I didn't even know when it happened, maybe when I was washing my hair? So I guess it's good for those who just needs something to last at least two days, or better for those who have thicker nails, or maybe just those who change their polish color more than once a week.

I wish I had taken before and after pictures. This works so well. It is very moisturizing and very hydrating. It works very well and has helped me not only have better cuticles but my nails are healthier overall.
