I’ve discovered on my gel journey that translucent polishes are much more forgiving.

My opaque (a713) tends to come out looking like white out, but this gives me a much softer look and a lot more control over the end result just by choosing how many coats to use.

Used this shade (marked a558 in the listing, but a732 on the bottle) with a sparkle (b995 from the marshmallow dreaming collection) and a glossy top coat. My inspo was the OG Interview With A Vampire nails and I think I did ok :).

First time using beetles brand UV gel polish, this was 2 coats, with a clear base coat and top coat. I wanted them slightly opaque, otherwise I would end applied a third coat of the milky white gel polish. Live how smooth and pretty the application goes on. Let’s see how long they hold up. If holds up good, 100% will be buying more colors.

Beautiful colors, not the best quality

I just wanted to share my experience with beetles gel polish as it was highly recommended. I have tried brands such as Gellen and Modelones and thought the polish would NEVER come off because it lasted so long. Whereas, Beetles did not give the same result. I hesitated to share this but unfortunately, I have had the same result with 2 different polishes. It is too thick, despite warming and rolling before use and applying thin coats, it still appears uneven and splotchy. The base and top coats apply thin and look great, I only had problems with the color gel. The colors are absolutely gorgeous…. But it begins chipping and peeling within a few days, if not less. Again, I have tried multiple brands and did not have this occurrence, sadly, I just thought I would share this finding. Hopefully others have better outcomes :)

My nails were healthy when I applied this polish and now several of them are destroyed after using this toxic product. I wish I had done more research on the brand (outside of Amazon) because there are a lot of warnings about allergies linked to HEMA and this product in particular. Apparently it can also cause lifelong allergies to future dental work or joint repairs. Holy hell, I thought I was just buying a cute gel polish for a dirt cheap price.
The good - It took 4 coats, but the Milky White color looked nice and dried really hard.
The bad - Within a day my nails felt uncomfortable and I eventually did the research I mentioned above and tried to take it off a week later. Even though I cured the polish for double the time (using the #1 sold UV lamp on Amazon) it appeared that the polish had eaten into the nail itself. There are several nails with large holes/divits under the nail itself (see photo) causing big “waves” and the others are still paper thin. If it’s an allergy, I can see why some people don’t have the problem, but I’ve had plenty of professional gel manicures without any issues. Do yourself a favor and get higher quality gel polish that is HEMA free and buy it from a beauty supply store, not Amazon. It is not worth the risk.

The color was a little more white than I was looking for- not as “milky” as the photos show. The gel also hardened differently than others that I’ve used. After a week it started chipping leaving rough edges instead of peeling like the typical gel polish will when it’s time to redo - very hard to remove on your own also. Not a bad product just not my favorite.
