Beautiful Color: The deep burgundy shade is stunning and really makes my brown eyes pop. It's a unique color that I haven't found in any other brand, and it adds a subtle yet noticeable difference to my overall look.

Gives you thick and long looking lashes

This mascara gives me the look of false lashes without having to wear false lashes. I also like it because it seems like it's quicker to put on than some of the other brands that I have where it goes on so fine that I have to sit and keep putting on layers. With this stuff I'm able to just do a few strokes on my entire lash and I'm good to go. I love the thick and dramatic look it gives when I really want my lashes to stand out.

Just to warn you though, even though this is not waterproof, I find it difficult to get off the same way that waterproof mascara takes a little more effort to remove. That can be a little frustrating when I'm in a hurry. I still find it worth it though and would highly recommend this mascara.

More brown than purple but still pretty!

It definitely looks natural on my dark brown lashes, and does make my hazel eyes pop! But I wouldn't say it is purple...perhaps in certain lighting a bit, but the way it presents on lashes is more brown. I do like the color. Sometimes black feels a bit bold, and this color works!

Very smudgeproof

I have an extremely active lifestyle, sweat a lot, and, I use quite a bit of product on my face for moisturizing and sun protection, yet, this mascara has withstood it all. I purchased the mascara because it was at a great price point and hoped it would get me by at least a few days until my usual arrived. I was very careful at first to only lightly moisturize but after the first day when I didn't have any smudging, I just didn't even worry about it. It does require the use of a good makeup remover but that is a small inconvenience when I don't have to worry about checking the mirror every few hours while working in my very public facing job.

I’m not a big make-up wearer, because my eyes can get irritated, but this mascara is my long-time favorite. It’s easy to apply, is less globby than some other brands, stays in place, and has a classic, tasteful appearance. The price vs quality balance is excellent. I’m a senior woman and I don’t want super-ultra-hyped up heavy mascara. On the other hand, if I go to the trouble to put mascara on, I want it to show up and look like a natural cosmetic enhancement. This reliably does the job, even for a make-up klutz like me. lol.

Waterproof, But Not NYC Humidity Proof!

The formula applies without clumping, which is a big plus. However, even while wearing just a single coat, it did flake a bit. I also wore it for the first time on a particularly humid day. While it didn't run, it did smudge under my eyes more than I would've expected a waterproof formula too (especially since I was only wearing a single coat on my upper lashes only!).
It was fairly easy to remove with just micellar water, unlike some waterproof formulas, so that was another plus.
Bottom line; it's a decent affordable option for a waterproof mascara (particularly if you want a color option other than super black), but expect a bit of flaking and smudging.

I’ve been using this for about 25 years. I was introduced to it by a makeup artist on set of a commercial I was doing and became obsessed!! Most waterproof mascara is flaky, irritating and you cannot build upon it. This is perfect. The black/brown is more natural and I have found that the Almaty waterproof makeup remover pads are the best in the world for easy removal without damaging my lashes.

I have never liked cakey looking lashes but also wanted a rimmel that would not make my lashes fall down.
My lashes are long and thin and this product makes them look longer and bold. Glad I bought two so I have a backup on my purse.
